These people have a serious FOMO-Black complex. The moment we create something for ourselves, their whole world tilts. It threatens their fake superiority, their entitlement, their belief that every room must center them.

History shows it every time: whenever Black people build our own spaces, their instinct is to destroy, infiltrate, or delegitimize it.

But guess what? Today is not yesterday’s trauma. We’re done asking for permission. We never needed it. Our ancestors ensured that we could stand on our own, and we are not about to start bowing now.

Let them stay pressed. We’ll stay powerful.

Combatting HIV in the South means combatting discrimination of all facets

This part of my response to an article about the fight for ending HIV in the South has discrimination of race, poverty, and sexuality in the way. This problem reminds me of Eva Hayward’s Don’t Exist, and how the lives of black queer people in the South have been looked over for years. The black queer people that are affected by HIV are continuously living outside of humanism.
