This Chinese Company Is Now SeaWorld's Largest Shareholder

China’s Zhonghong Zhuoye Group Co. agreed to acquire a 21 percent stake in SeaWorld Entertainment Inc. from Blackstone Group LP, becoming the embattled U.S. theme-park operator’s largest shareholder.

The deal bolsters SeaWorld’s plan to restore growth by expanding internationally. The company announced a licensing deal in Abu Dhabi late last year to create its first park outside the U.S. Rivals such as Six Flags Entertainment Corp. have used similar deals to boost sales.

New Report Claims Blackstone Group is Buying San Diego's Affordable Housing, Hiking Up Rent Prices 43-64% – San Diego California reporting

Blackstone purchased thousands of San Diego's affordable housing units in 2021, then raised rent for some units between 43-64% in just two years, the report says.

– “October was really cold in 2022 and the [leasing consultant] basically told me, ‘Well, you only have a few more months of this, just, hang in there.’ This is illegal. I'm not a fool," Celeste said.

Viviana lives in Chula Vista with her husband and six children.“We want to live in peace and we want to be able to have, you know, a manager that we can rely on when something goes wrong. As of right now, we don't have that," Vivana said.

What these women have in common is they both rent from the Blackstone Group — one of the largest private equity companies in the world.
