I figured rather than working around an ask, this could work instead. Testing a homestuck style response)

Like he wasn’t doing that already. It was unexpected of him to just show up where the Midnight Crew was, any one of them. At least this timeline. He had a different line of work than being a mobster. Here, he worked a simple cafe job, not much. As for why he was here, he was waiting on Diamonds Droog. Already, he’s had to slug one guy, and another got a pretty nice shiner thanks to his continuing grasp on dark magic and using for his physical attacks.

It’s practically everyday he’s waiting for something, even back in his timeline/universe. He’s gotten used to it by now, in fact, he’s almost willing to wait. But this was just ridiculous. For now, he just wanted to just have a nice conversation with this world’s Droog, maybe get to know him. It’d be better than Clover, at least. He was nearly invisible amongst the crowd, dressed in casual jeans, a long sleeved, red shirt, and a headband. The only things to stand out were his pale green skin, blue eyes, and long hair.
