<- video explaining my upcoming surgery from november of last year (have now since had the consult, surgery is in march as long as i can get the pre surgery reqs done in time). still need to get cleared / seen by immunology, seeing hematology tomorrow and cardiology on wednesday for a chemical stress test (nervous about that bc i KNOW its gonna send me into flare city and im scared i might end up hospitalized ngl). but yeah. this explains the surgery a little more concisely so!

this is probably a "Weird" thing to be excited over to some but this morning i woke up with my catheter bag so full it was about to burst and im actually so proud of it bc that's the first time i can remember ever filling it up fully with oral intake alone and not supplemental fluids which is kinda like.... huge?

not-so-happy two year anniversary to the surgical tube that keeps me alive and rules that entire life. rly looking forward to seeing my urosurgeon in january so that i can potentially get some sort of qol back ❤️

So I got a nasty surprise today! Had to go get a culture and a prescription for IV antibiocs for like the millionth time the last months. I am currently on ertapenem, an extra antihistamine other than the two I take every day, alongside my regular dose of singulair, AND a heavy dose of steroids because my body likes to act dramatic 😒 The culture results came in today - I have not one but TWO strains of enterobacter cloaecea (which to my knowledge is a superbug 💀) growing in my urinary tract right now.

I don't think I've ever really processed the idea that you can get two strains of a bacteria (from mutation usually) at once. I've gotten strains of a few different bacteria before but never this 🥴
