I was working on my Nutcracker story when i felt the sudden urge to draw a nutcracker boy. Hans belongs to @shinyzango

doodle from a few days back, wanted to sketch J in my disassembly headcanon design

Been inspired by lots of artists and their takes on a more beast like disassembly drone design so I tried my hand at one as well.

Figured I would give them a double jointed leg for a bit of extra stability and a thicker tail because like this it can definitely support their weight when hanging upside down or just in general.

Both the tail and stomach/middle segments are reinforced and have overlapping plates while also still being pliable to not restrict movement.

The stinger when not in use retracts/deconstructs inside the sharp tail end and is covered so they don't accidentally poke someone.

For their drone hands I chose to let them have claws because I feel like it really drives home that they aren't workers anymore and therefore more sharp bits all around. These can morph and elongate into large claws but they still can swap them out for the big ass claws if needed.

Moving higher I made sure they almost exclusively have sharp teeth and their canines can retract into the roof of their mouths when not actively hunting or being aggressive. They still poke out of their mouth when not in use but this could help them talk if they ever need to do so.

For the headband I always used a very bright yellow to indicate pupils but now I just went "okay lmao" and drew them in. I love how that is their actual/main eyes so I wanted to show that off.

Color palette wise I wanted to use their leg markings on their arms as well so that's why it's so dark with an added hazard stripe on their upper arm (which is not visible rn because of the coat.)

And whiskers/hair on their legs (and tail too which I later added so it's not on this drawing.) Wanted them to have these so their senses are more sharp. Slight electromagnetic changes are picked up by these whisker like things and this gives them information much faster than maybe hearing a drone near.

Was listening to washing machine heart on repeat and decided to doodle a bit and this is what came of it.

I always wondered how would the disassembly drones react to one of them falling for the first time in a fight so I drew my own ocs K and F going through it :3

actually used a reference for this one!! really loved the pose so I did a clean version, a different expression version AND also one where i just kept the shading layer on top (which is here:)
