I recently finished DC: The New Frontier (2004), written and illustrated by Darwyn Cooke with colors by Dave Stewart. Very, very good comic miniseries. Wasn't the biggest fan of the way Superman was handled, but I can understand why it was done the way it was. More impressively, though, this comic featured some characters I love that don't get enough attention (shout-out Ray Palmer/The Atom and Adam Strange), as well as actually making me care about characters I didn't like very much, like Bruce Wayne/Batman and Hal Jordan/Green Lantern. It's also always fun to see The Flash (Barry Allen in this one) and Green Arrow (Oliver Queen) be thematically or textually relevant characters. Also, fantastic adaptation of the character of Steel/John Henry Irons/John Wilson, and beautiful epilogue featuring the speech from which the name of the miniseries is derived. Please check it out if you can. 8.5/10
