Didn't mind following until the picture involving the cuts. Now unfollowing. I csnt handle seeing that when I'm getting over it myself. Cutting isn't okay even jn this form. It's dangerous.

I highly recommend looking into RACK (Risk-Aware Consensual Kink).

That basically means if you are aware of the risks involved in a kink activity and if you are both capable of consent, it is okay. It is almost an “opposite” side SSC.

My partner and I are both able to consent (we are both adults and only kink sober) and we discuss our scenes before and after. We clean my skin before and after, we use very sharp and clean instruments. We have access to first aid and we have access to a phone in case of an emergency. We both are also free of STDs and blood born illnesses.

I suffer from PTSD. I have an issue with self harm. I recently went to the hospital for a suicide attempt. I use edge play and blood play as a form of coping. My dom and I have discussed the idea of using edge play as a positive and treating my own personal self harm as a negative. So far, it is working. I have less urges to harm myself but I get a very similar “feeling” when my dom cuts me. 

It’s also, arguably, safer. He cuts me less deep, he cuts me in places that the community deeps “safe” and it works for me as a coping mechanism.

THIS TYPE OF PLAY IS NOT FOR EVERYONE.

This type of play IS DANGEROUS. But so is impact play, breath play, shibari, and many other types of play in this community.

Blade play?

Never tried it irl so this is just an estimate but 6/10? I can see why people like it but it’s not something that particularly appeals to me, I’m not averse to it but just not really super into the idea. I prefer impact play.
