Happy New year 2023 everyone ✨

The great hall looked like a dream. The ceiling resembled the sky with twinkling stars all over. Disco balls were hanging from everywhere and a 'Happy New Year ' sign floating.

Draco was at the corner of the hall standing with Theo ,pansy and Blaise. Blaise kept rambling about some potion test he failed miserably but Draco didn't hear a word of it. His eyes were too busy searching for a certain someone at the door of the hall.

His eyes finally found what they were looking for when Blair entered the hall with the golden trio. Her dark hair straight and the green shimmery dress made her stand out from the rest of the gryffindors. It definitely didn't help Draco's already frantic heart when she wore his favourite color and it got worse when she caught his eye and sent a smile his way.

The party went on but Draco and Blair kept stealing glances at each other. Wanting to spend time with each other but they both knew that it wasn't possible.

Just then Blair noticed a little boy shyly come to her and hand her a card. Blair opened the emerald green card and the read the only thing written

Meet me at midnight

It didn't take her much time to guess who was it from. She looked up and saw Draco looking at her with a smirk. Her insides started to heat when he swept his gaze all over her body, his black suit didn't help the goosebumps she had all over her body now.

Her attention was taken by Lee who climbed the stage announcing that only one minute was left and the countdown was going to start soon. Blair looked at her surroundings , Ron and Hermione were already standing with each other as well as Harry and Ginny.

She whipped her head around to see Draco but he was already gone from his place. The 30 seconds countdown had started and she immediately went to search for Draco.

She went through the crowds , her eyes searching for draco. TEN , NINE , the crowds started shouting but she still couldn't find him.

Five ,four ...

She finally saw a head of blonde hair approaching her.

Three , two , one

As soon as the clock stroke midnight their lips met in a fiery kiss , knocking out her breath. All the students shouted wishes to each other. Draco pulled away panting , a smile on both of their faces.

"Told you I would find you at midnight" Draco whispered in her ear. Her grin grew wider as Draco buried his face in her neck.

"Draco where are you taking me? It's almost lunch time!" Blair whined as Draco dragged her towards the room of requirement.

"Just wait for some time." He carefully opened a carefully concealed panel and took out a picnic basket.

"What's that ?" Blair asked confused.

"Our lunch. We haven't been out for a while so I figured out we could have a picnic date." Drace replied with a silly grin as Blair's face lit up.

They both hand in hand went through the corridors making sure that no one saw them.

Only one corridor more

Blair thought, but they both halted when they heard footsteps coming their way. They recognised the voice as one of the gryffindors'. Their eyes widened and Blair quickly pushed Draco into a nearby corner.

Dean was talking to Seamus and halted on seeing Blair in the corridor.

"Blair what are you doing here? Dean asked with a cheerful smile.

"uhh nothing , just lost my way" Blair nervously fiddled with the bow on the basket.

"Harry was looking for you. We should go to the dining hall." Dean suggested , Blair was about to shake her head no when Harry appeared in the doorway. Draco facepalmed on seeing Harry. Harry looked at her and the basket in confusion.

"I just found this lying randomly" Blair said and kept the basket on the window nearby. Harry was confused for a second but shrugged it off "fine , just leave it there and we are gonna be late for lunch".

Harry grabbed Blair's hand taking her away while Draco watches in the corner.

Hours later

The sun had set and the stars were twinkling in the sky , Blair sat in the corner of her dorm , her mood gloomy. A pebble hit the window catching her attention. She opened the window to see an enchanted scroll. She opened it to find Draco's message to meet her in the courtyard.

Grabbing her coat , she rushed downstairs and found Draco in the courtyard with the picnic basket laid with all the snacks.

A wide grin made its way on both their faces as Draco kissed her and mumbled "I needed to compensate for today's date. We can always have a picnic under the stars. Stargazing is one of my fav hobbies."

They both laid on the blanket watching the stars and eating snacks blissfully unaware of Hermione searching the dorms for her.

Presenting the great food fight of Hogwarts

Summary : Blair and Draco have a fight, a couple turns into the great food fight

Tension was thick in the air , especially in the great hall. Forks and spoons were clinking and everyone was busy with their food. Everyone except Draco and Blair who were busy glaring at each other.

"Why haven't you touched your food?" Hermione asked her but in response she just scowled harder in Draco's direction with an adorable pout.

Draco on the other hand was busy avoiding her glare. But he looked up and seeing the adorable pout on her lips , he couldn't help but snicker and stuck his tongue out at her.

Blair gasped and grabbed the nearest pie and threw it at his face from across the hall. Draco quickly ducked and the pie hit pansy's face. Pansy grabbed another pie aimed at Blair but it hit Hermione's face. The gryffindors and Slytherins started a food war while the Ravenclaws rolled their eyes and the Hufflepuffs ducked beneath the table.

The fight paused when a turkey leg hit Snape's face and Mcgonall sitting with a cupcake in her and a giggling Dumbledore.

The chaos doubled when everyone joined the fight. Food flying here and there.

And as for Draco and Blair they both were sitting on the teacher's table in each other's arms apologising for their childish attitude blissfully unaware of the surroundings.

New York didn’t get dark: not like this. There had been a flashing red neon sign advertising a 24/7 chinese restaurant across the street from their old apartment and it had kept Celia’s old bedroom in a constant state of red-black-red-black. After seventeen years, it was hard to sleep without it. 

“I think that house down there must be the partiers -- they keep their lights on until ten which seems to be as late as the nightlife around here gets,” Celia commented as Blair walked out onto the front porch. 

The night was still: the only sound was the chirping of crickets (although it had taken Celia a moment to figure out what the noise was, exactly) ... beyond that: nothing. 

“This house is too big,” She said, “We’re all home together and I wouldn’t even know it. There could be a fifth person living with us and we wouldn’t even know it ... and it’s really starting to weird me out.”
