My bestie @blairaptor and I have really been enjoying Project Hail Mary as a whole lately, so I crocheted movie-accurate Rocky for her birthday! I hesitate to admit just how annoyed I was by the sheer amount of separate pieces I had to sew together for this guy XD But despite that, I think Rocky turned out alright! He also has some filler beads in his body to simulate the weight of an eridian - just on a smaller scale, haha.

My friend @blairaptor visited my hometown this summer, so I drew her cinnamon roll vampire son while she was here! His name’s Nathan Bacsal and he runs a summer camp for monster kids <3
This was SO MUCH FUN WORKING WITH Blairaptor!! We did a lot of back and forth between the sketch, line art, color, background, shading, and holograms. But it TURN OUT SO WELL!! Thank you so much for doing a collab with me! It was a pleasure working you!
There’s also a little dialogue I wrote to go with it. Below!
“Woah!” Milo looked at the floating ball of frozen dessert as it emerged from the device on the center of the table. He put his hand to his head, “It brings a new meaning to ‘ice cream float’!”
Vinnie gestured to his own shake, “This isn’t just any kinda ice cream, it’s ice cream from the moooooonn!!” He wiggled his fingers as he stretched out the last word.
“The Moon? How is it from the moon?” Milo took his seat and the glob plopped into the empty milkshake container in front of him.
“Once upon a time,” Vinnie started, he looked at his watch, and continued, “probably around your time, actually”. He had picked up Milo from the early 2000s so they could have ice cream from his favorite restaurants in 2175. “A bunch of kids took a herd of cows up to the moon in a rocket ship, built a farm, grew grass, somehow, milked the cows and made ice cream, ON THE MOON!” He tried to mimic the enthusiasm shown by the young boy.
Milo gave him a questioning look, “Kids? How would NASA let kids on a rocket ship? I’m pretty sure they’d be too young for that kinda thing.”
“That’s just it, NASA wouldn’t let kids on one of their ships.” He leaned in to whisper, “So they built their own.”
“No way!” Milo elbowed him. “Kids building rocket ships? And all that work, just for ice cream? I’m sure there’s an easier way.”
“Yeah, but that’s not the point,” He grabbed the cherry by the stem and popped it into his mouth. “They did it for fun. They had great creativity, and they acted on it and became some of the best inventors and mechanics the future has ever seen!”
“And it all started with ice cream?” Milo took out a spoon and began to eat his pistachio gelato, “Cool.” Milo tried to mentally remind himself to pay attention to the news in coming years for kids going to the moon, because if something like that happened already, he probably would’ve heard about it. So it must be happening soon.
