For: Anonymous Prompt: Walking home in the fog

“Can I carry your--” Blaise began, only to watch Hermione shrink and send all her belongings into her bag, which was promptly slung over her shoulder. “Nothing,” he finished, pressing his lips together in a line. She promptly muttered the magical charms to lock the door of her shop before replying.
“Sorry, I could pull something back out if you’d like…” she offered, smirking a bit as Blaise shook his head.
“No, no, that’s perfectly fine… we’re adults. This isn’t school. I don’t have to assist you in order to explain my presence,” Blaise laughed. The fog had settled in thickly around them, but Hermione seemed to know the way very well, so he stuck close to her.
“So, if not to assist me in some way, can you explain your presence?” she asked, strolling slowly alongside him, her shoulder bumping his arm every so often.
Blaise chuckled. “Just thought I’d surprise you with a walk home. Trying to be romantic, you know. You said you liked this sort of thing.”
Hermione smiled warmly and closed the distance between them, twining their fingers. “I do like this sort of thing…”
