It was Blake’s sixth time watching the same movie that week. He was planning on filming a review on it for his channel since there was a considerable amount of hype around it, but he had no clue how he felt about it. He wasn’t sure if it went too far and went into the nonsensical territory, or went to just the right places and had fun with it. Not even after all of his rewatches. That was why this time, he brought in a fresh pair of eyes to hopefully give him some clarity on his own opinion. “—Like I said, you make it through this movie with me and you can do whatever you want to my ass for the next hour.” He reminded the other, waiting for them to return to the couch before he pressed the ‘play’ button on the remote. “An hour and a half if you keep the complaining at a minimum till the end.” He teased, sending a wink their way before he looked back towards the TV screen. “There’s only another thirty-five minutes left, anyway.”

It had been a pretty normal night for Blake. Some Top 40 artist was prancing around the stage while he and his crew made sure everything looked pretty. Almost an hour into the show, he let another guy take his post while he took a break. Surprisingly, they were just a tad overstaffed for what the show actually entailed— not that he saw that as a bad thing. He didn’t mind because that meant he had a minute to sit down. But instead of doing that, he made his way down from the stage and towards the venue’s bar. He ordered himself a drink and leaned against the bar as the ‘tender made it. While he waited, his eyes scanned the area around him. That was when he saw Scott not too far away from him. “Hmm…” There was something about the male that immediately caught his attention. And once he had it, it was near impossible to look away. He bit down in the inside of his cheek, looking around the venue again before finally decide to make a move. He took his drink once it was finished and walked over to where Scott was.

“Hey there, how’ould you like to go backstage? All it’ll cost is your phone number.”

“okay but are you going to admit that this is the best snow day ever or nah?” laughing as she took a sip from her cup blake stared at her girlfriend with a smug look of triumph. despite the below freezing temperatures outside she had done her best to make their day stuck inside as amazing as possible. “i just want to say for the record this snow shit is why i want us to move to california. we could be sitting on the beach naked right now.”

“i’m so glad you could make it! ready to get your ass kicked at monopoly?” grinning as she stood in the doorway of her small beach house blake quickly moved to allow aeron to come inside. kicking the door closed as the sound of her favorite hip-hop mix blared through the home. it wasn’t some crazy mansion or some place you would see on a episode of cribs but it was cozy and it was hers. “i wasn’t expecting anyone to be on time so i guess you and i are gonna just have to drink until the rest of these fools show up.” leading him towards her living room she pointed towards the small bar she had set up for the night. 

her friends from the shop were going to freak when they realized she had actually got aeron to come but she had begged them to be cool about it to avoid him feeling uncomfortable. the two of them had met on a whim at a mutual friend’s party and had seemed to run into one another at ever eventy since; the latter even coming by the shop for a private tattoo session. celebrity clients weren’t anything new but they had started to become more like friend and she appreciated him trusting her enough to let his gaurd down. 

“i was worried when you said you had work in new york all this week you weren’t gonna make it! i saw you perform on fallon last night too and all i could think was “wow...i can’t wait to rub it in his face when i beat him in UNO.””
