Head Full of Hair, Heart Full of Song is a collection of songs, stories and videos exploring the notion of natural hair, ancestry and adornment for women of African descent. What are the inner and outer conflicts that arise for a young woman of African descent or woman of color when confronting oneself in a world that generally defines beauty from a European set of values. This project aims to create a modern resource for empowering young women to see and create themselves in a positive light.
