The misdirect in s2 was poorly done, I buy that after sleeping with Nicky and Peyton's love for Jake that Lucas would close the book on her and could see Brooke as an option, but his "she's the one" still felt unearned. Contrast that to the amazing misdirect with Jake in s3. She tells him that her friends have someone, and she wants that same feeling, then proposes after Jenny calls her "mom". The next episode, Jake hears Peyton say "I love you, Lucas", putting her comments in a new light.
See another reason I felt season 2 was poorly written in regards to BLP was because Peyton closed the book on Lucas but he never closed the book on Peyton. Peyton & Brooke made a pact in the season 2 premier to stay away from Lucas. Peyton stuck to that pact, where Brooke didn’t lol, what’s new. Anyways, we saw how Lucas tried to get close to Peyton, but she pushed him away and he was so desperate to help her he called Jake. And then when Peyton finally let Lucas back into her life they went back to being best friends and in each others lives. Literally the second Peyton let Lucas back in, he was back to being all about her. Just another reason I couldn’t buy B//rucas.
And yeah, I thin J//eyton were handled a lot better and more realistically.
SF: In the movie, you do a kind of complicated dance. How was it? Did you already know how to dance like that? MI: I like to think I've got rhythm. But no, we had a half an hour rehearsal. About a month passed and we were cool to do it, we had about 15 minutes to rehearse. You gotta think about it, there's about 50 people over there watching you and they have no qualms in yelling, "Yeah, that looks terrible. Max! Lift her up, come on." But it kind of--it looked a bit thrown together, which I think was nice. It was fun; it was one of my favorite days actually.
I've just woke up and what I see? TWO MESSAGES @_@
