Those of you who follow my art, know how crazy I am about paintings that appear in classic movies. Do you recognize this one?. It shows Joan Crawford at the her most beautiful in the 1936 movie Love on the Run. It is featured prominently in Whatever happened to Baby Jane, hanging over Blanche’s bed in her room. Remember? Happy birthday to the great Joan Crawford, who was born a day like today we don’t know exactly how many years ago (lol). She is not been given credit enough for her great performance in one of my favorite movies, Whatever happened to Baby Jane. Her Blanche Hudson usually gets overshadowed by Davis’s Baby Jane masterful creation. But she gives a subtle, rich performance that gives the movie so much depth. Here’s my homage to Joan.
