actually you know what's really annoying. Wish World / The Reality War was the first time in my life i've ever seen an explicitly Blasian character (Poppy) in a story, which on a personal level is a big deal. and for once she's a biracial character that's dark skinned. doubt it was intentional but "does she really exist" feels almost too on the nose in this context given that people usually cannot imagine either of those things being a thing, let alone at the same time. would've been so exciting in literally any other scenario but alas they chose violence with that plot
