Originals and their Instagram...twins. Trying to get myself comfortable with inking my work, thought I'd look to the one and only Jack Kirby for reference.

Absolutely thrilled with the results! Now my only issue is the lack of right colors for the Paragon; before I did the markers, I used colored pencils, and I've found that peachy flesh-tones are about the right market for the Paragon's armor.

Today's progress.

Not sure how happy I am with Blasphomet's legs, they could be more dynamic, but I worry about further erasing.

I envy y'all who know how to use and have tablets.

9/8/2019: A very rough, very crude Paragon Avenger plot outline:

-- Prologue?

- Introducing the audience to Alex, his life (try to make this as mundane and relatable as possible)

- The Paragon crashes down in its small form (box, sphere, just has to fit in a pocket), Alex finds it. How does he deal with it from the night he finds it, who does he tell, how does he deal with his father, and when does the Paragon awaken and what do they discuss? (And then again how does he deal with this)

-- There should be chapters from/for the Tabaan, just as Star Wars has scenes for the Empire. - The Tabaan should learn rather quick that something much more than a meteor crashed down, and as there are often following "real" ET reports there come next encounters with the MIB, ergo, and not giving Alex time to breathe, the MIB should show up. -- This is when Alex and the Paragon should become one to fight the MIB, thus confirming for the Tabaan that the Paragons are back, and for Alex confirming that his life and the lives of those around him are now in danger. How does Alex (attempt to) secure his father's life?

- Alex sets out to get answers (though just simply running through vast amounts of UFO and alien encounters would definitely show some cigar-shaped UFOs that the Tabaan were known for), some distance. This time alone could be a good time for some introspection, that he really did throw himself into a whole ocean of danger all because a wild fantasy came to life. This period is when he should encounter the Pursches, but immediately after leaving his small desert town? I don't think they'd be so far south. Perhaps he would find an excuse to go north?

- Pursches found (maybe a fun-dumb little superpowered tussle as this genre is opt to have), he reluctantly reveals what he knows and what has happened to him. The Pursches...take him back to their place? They'd most likely have fantastic anti-surveillance set up, ergo they are much safer there. Maybe Ed (Alex's father) could be kept here? However, the Tabaan wouldn't be truly frightening if they couldn't eventually destroy this safespace. Abigale and Nathan are of course involved, brought into the fold. As well, we learn of what the Pursches and co. did some three years ago within their home city, and perhaps there is some tensions between Abigale and Eva? Anyway, is this where the history of the Tabaan is told in full? Like, previous chapter, their name is dropped to Alex, but we fully go into it with the crew as an audience?

--- Events happen between these here and Blasphomet, especially moments where they clash and bond. And we have to encounter the Dog-Men of Michigan (though maybe not specifically Michigan) and Dog-Thing ("Retarded Dog").

- Blasphomet happens after the team, travelling, comes to a small forest town and Alex  inadvertently stumbles upon a girl running through the woods escapes cloaked men. He finds her friend after what has happened to her, rounds up the cult, takes them and the girl to the police (the other girl is there, too). This would bring up an uncomfy conversation about how doing good may not be the best thing to do if it risks exposure, but what Alex did was absolutely the right thing to do. Then the Tabaan find out and decide to punish Alex for being a hero and transforming the cult leader into Blasphomet and his cult into monsters (maybe he also has a biological weapon with him, too?). The fight is grueling, everyone jumping back and forth putting out literal and figurative fires, they're working with emergency responders and civilians to take the town back, Alex maybe even gets stabbed by Blasphomet's stupid trident, but in the end the team save the town, the day, and Alex gets the two girls and their families to leave, find someplace secure for the time being. He also gives the brutalized child (who'd been held up in the hospital) knowledge of the Paragons and what awaits the future to give her a greater sense of hope and recovery.

------ Somewhen there needs to be a big fight with the final Old Model of the Men in Black. Has the Paragon been re-purposing tech recovered from their bodies? Has he had the chance?

------ Vegkan shows up, fights Alex and just about beats him? ------ Round 2, Alex beats Vegkan. ------ Mars???

It seems as though we could do a "Part 1" that ends with Blasphomet, not sure if that Old Model fight is incorporated into Part 1 or starts off Part 2...

6/22/2019: “Blasphomet”

A placeholder name, for now, for a character idea I had that is a former cult leader turned into a raving hedonistic monster by the Tabaan so as either to be done with the Paragon totally or at least throw him off enough so that they can complete their plans. Still playing with the design, but I know that the iconic Baphomet will be borrowed from to an extent - perhaps Blasphomet mutates over time? Becoming more goatish or vaguely, abstractly possessing goat-like features? - but that the horns will not be like that of a goat, ram, or any other ungulate, instead being almost-completely straight and vertical save for a 45-degree bend towards the top. Why “Blasphomet”? Because I had a very bad time listening to a creepypasta named something along the lines of “The Girl in the Photograph” (except that’s definitely not the title, that’s the exact title of another story), which of such a bad time was had that I didn’t even finish listening to it: two girls - either later elementary or early junior high - get seized by some cult who.......yeah.  I left it alone, then internalized a fansert where Alex and the Paragon intervened. Childish? Probably, but I played with it some more to where I had a scenario I was thinking of using:       Set-up:  Alex and his team (the Pursche siblings) are in a small and unassuming forest town somewhere in the US while on their pursuit of information and access to the Tabaan.      Scene: The Pursches come back to the team’s motel room where they find Alex sobbing in the bathroom. This takes us to not-long in the past where Alex, split up from the siblings, was doing some audio surveillance via the Paragon when he detected a far-off cry for help from a child - had he not been listening, she probably would never have been heard - and off he goes to find a blonde girl of no more than twelve being pursued by a few black-robed individuals. Alex crashes through the forest’s canopy, and in the stunned silence gets biological readings off the child and the individuals: she has bruises, cuts, torn clothing, but seemingly nothing worse, while off the robed characters he detects knives. The “fight” is short as Alex deals with them as ethically acceptable by the Paragon’s standards, then from the child learns that she had escaped from an old church, but her friend is still there. He wastes no time in securing the girl he found (haven’t figured the details out yet, but they definitely want to fall in line with what to do in an actual situation as such...right now I’m thinking he swiftly takes her back to his motel, she goes into the lobby and calls the police) and bringing the robed characters with him, finding the church and the child upon an alter, the rest of the cult fully assembled. With only the Paragon restraining him, Alex flies into a rage and puts down the cult with only broken bones. He rounds them up and takes the other girl with him to the police station in town where, as the Paragon, reveals his presence to the officers inside and seeing that the other girl has been taken there.It’s during the flight where Alex learns the extent of what happened to this girl via biological reading. At the station, there’s a shouting match, police demand he/”it” stand down, bullets are stopped, identities are revealed - members of the cult are town officials, including the police chief(?). He gives the station the location of the church, then flies off.  From here, I thought of how the cult returns, specifically just how vicious the Tabaan are with the Paragon: when they last fought the Paragons about an earth’s century ago, their enemy could kill only under life-threatening conditions or if the council behind the Paragons instated such a policy, and seeing as how this Paragon left these cultists alive, that means it’s not wholly uninhibited by any wartime conditions/policies, and because it left these cultists alive, it should have to deal with them again. Now, the leader of this cult would be “Blasphomet”, his members becoming mutants as well, and they would be sold through a ruse that their deity of worship (I don’t know if I want it to be Satan or someone else, or if it’s some completely original fake deity) was upset with the Paragon and wanted to give its faithful the power to exact revenge and realize its dream of unbridled indulgence upon the world.  Now I’m left with appearances, abilities, what plays out, and even what exactly this cult believed and practiced (well, I already got some ideas, even a step-by-step process the members must go through to truly experience the world without inhibitions).  EDIT: I have in mind that the Pursche siblings have been doing super-hero-type stuff for a minute, before they met Alex, so it’s perhaps isn’t a stretch that they or at least one of them has kinda been through what he goes through with this incident?
