Tower~ Wildwood Tarot.
Blasted oak. Wildwood Tarot.
From the Wildwood Tarot. I deliberately pulled this one out today because I had a strange dream last night. I was sitting on the floor in a house which in some superficial ways resembled the house I lived in in New Jersey. There was one other person with me, I don’t know who. I was sitting on the floor in a tiny, empty room, when suddenly there was a very loud thunderclap, louder than any I’ve ever heard, and then a crackling explosion, and I knew lightning had hit something very close by. It was quite terrifying. I ran to a window to see what had happened and looked down onto the front lawn (which was way bigger in my dream than the lawn of that house) and an enormous branch had been shattered and broken off a tree in the yard.
As far as I know, there was no thunderstorm in the area last night. The noise of the thunder and the lightning strike was so loud and overpowering in the dream that when I woke up I wondered if there had been a storm during the night that I’d slept through, but worked the noise of thunder into the dream. In the dream I was cowering on the floor from the noise, it was like a war zone. It just went on and on, and then the explosive sound of the lightning hitting the tree, and the branch crashing down were so real. The only thing I can think of that might have triggered this is all the tornadoes that have been hitting in Kansas in the last couple of days. I’ve had nightmares about tornadoes before, but I’ve never lived in an area that gets the huge ones like in the midwest. We have been known to get small ones here, but the damage is generally minimal.
I don’t think I’ve had a dream in which the sound was so vivid or central. Very strange.

This card is usually about change and enforced changed. The usual meaning is that you’ve been hiding under a rock or in a tree, watching things change, knowing it’s going to come to you but you’re avoiding it. So, the Universe is going to give you a swift kick up the proverbial bottom and make you do it.
Tough if you don’t want to do it, it has to happen, you need to walk this way, not that way! I find that the Universe does this if you really haven’t been paying attention to what’s gone on around you, trusting your intuition or trying to pretend it’s not happening. I’m afraid it is happening and since one has not listened, you’re going to be made to listen!
So, today’s pile of questions with this card: Are you listening? (Heck, am I?) Do you not want to listen? Why not? If you don’t change and move, you risk being miserable. So, perhaps you need to do yourself a favour and go with the flow and jump, before you’re pushed!

Astrology of Wednesday, June 27, 2018
Today may turn out to be a long, hard slog. And the rest of the week too.
As I wrote yesterday, five planets (Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, and Pluto) are now retrograde, making any forward progress tough going. The Sun and Saturn are opposite one another, pulling us in two different directions. Warm, light, and joyous on the one side versus cold, dark, and heavy on the other.
The Moon deepens the dour mood as she enters Capricorn just before noon. Here we feel responsible and pragmatic. We need to make things happen. Favored are goal-oriented tasks and taking care of business. Pick one simple, clear objective and patiently move toward it.
A fleeting desire for freedom arises in mid-afternoon as the Moon harmonizes with rebellious Uranus. A flash of insight is possible amidst all the lowered energy.
The Capricorn Full Moon occurs just after midnight at 12:53 AM EDT. She is joined simultaneously with retrograde Saturn, both opposed by the Sun, making this an earnest and hard-working Moon. Look back at goals and intentions set a fortnight ago at the New Moon. Finish them up if you can. You may need to adjust expectations due to all the retrograde motion. The heaviness will be with us for a few more days, I fear. Keep your chin up and know that this too shall pass.
On the bright side, Saturn is so easy to see in the evening sky when he is opposite the Sun. Take your telescope out after sunset and have a look. I thrill every time at the sight of the rings!
