What's a language you think you would have a lot of fun learning?

This is too vague a question and I know too little about anything to make a good answer, so I'm just going to pick one that sounds like it would be the most fun to learn and see what happens.

Do Australians really call them "builders"? Here in USAMERICA, they're generally called "construction workers" under an apparent linguistic policy of naming any sort of low-education manual labor "____ workers". We gotcher farmworkers, yer fieldworkers, yer road workers, and so on.

All these references to iron - do they apply to steel as well? Or must the iron be as pure as possible, without a <2% carbon impurity? Are alloyed irons acceptable, such as carbon or stainless steel? What about ferrous compounds like Prussian Blue, or iron(II) sulfate?

I frankly don’t know enough about this to make concrete statements here, but in keeping with other ways people play with old traditions, I expect it would come down (at least in part) to how much you’re willing to stake your faith on it. Due to the field of generalised belief on campus, if the average student thinks of a metal as ‘iron’ then it will probably work regardless of belief, but when it comes to steel and other variations, things are going to get hazier.

Surgery was fine, I was unconscious for it. Recovery has been OK, I am now at the point where dilating is about as bad as everything else combined, and let's be real, dilating is not that bad.

Though I may punch the next medical professional who decides to comment on how good it is that I have such a good, deep vagina. Because they do seem oddly fixated on that one trait and keep telling me about it and it's weird.

I have not read that McSweeny's article and probably will not unless you have more to recommend it.

What makes gin tasty? What other sorts of things do you drink/ (I usually go for ciders or dark-rum-based things.)

I’ve learned that most people don’t like gin – it’s too flavorful; it’s too minty; it’s too much for them; it reminds them of Christmas Trees, as it reminded the dearly departed severnayazemlya of Christmas Trees – but I like it because it’s a dry, white drink with just a little bit of flavor to it

I also drink white wine and have an occasional beer; I think I’m one of those genetically-inferior folks that has a natural distaste for tannins
