Ooooooh I see Mr. Evans as Welsh and Mrs. Evans as Irish!!!
Derwyn Evans, whose name means oak tree, was born to Welsh immigrant parents in the town of Cokeworth. Blathnaid O'Kelly, whose name means flower, was born in Ireland and moved to England to find work. They met and immediately bonded as the two Gaelics in an overwhelmingly English town. They also both found it immensely funny that they had natural names and Derwyn started dating someone whose name means flower when he's the son of florists.
Obviously, they get married and have Petunia and Lily - both have floral names but blend in a bit more with English names. But neither parent let them forget their heritage, fret not.
