It would've been another amazing day for you and Niall, but the reality was reality. Niall was leaving for tour tomorrow. You hated to see him go, but you didn't want to be that clingy, annoying girlfriend who kept her boyfriend away from his priorities. You knew how much Niall loved his job and his fans. You didn't want to keep him away from that.

"What about a picnic?" he had suggested. He had packed a basket with sandwiches and cans of soda. He had also packed his guitar. You hoped he'd play something for you. You loved to watch him play. You laid down on the soft grass next to him. You held his hand tight. You didn't want to let go. "I'll miss you," you told him. You ignore the tears filling your eyes. You didn't want to cry. You blinked. "I'll FaceTime you, call you, text you, email you, whatever I can to keep in touch with you." he promised, his blue eyes sincere, "I love you. You know that, right? I think you're really the one for me. I will always love you. And I know it's not really the great timing..." he straightened and pulled a little box out from his pocket. It was dark blue and velvet. He opened it. In it was a beautiful diamond ring, sparkling in the bright sunlight. "y/n, will you marry me?" he asked. You gasped. You had imagined this moment since forever. You never knew this would be happening. Between you and Niall, especially. "Yes," you choked out.
