Character Profile: Kishibe Taiga - Scattered Beaker

A student in 2-A of Inazuma Gakuen. He's an utsushu and captain of the Team Shore. Kishibe is an excellent student, having the highest score at the entrance exams. He comes from a longline blazing user family and is the pride of his parents who were both blazing users.

Kishibe is the only child of a couple who had tried to get a child for years. He was a miracle brought upon them and the two of them decided they would give only the best for their dear child. Kishibe’s mother was an artist and the boy soon took after her. His father was a Marketing Manager of a well-established company. Upon hearing that he had a son, one of his co-workers recommended to put the boy into Kendo school so that he would grow strong, disciplined, determined and healthy. Kishibe started practicing Kendo at the age of 5.

Since both of his parents were blazing users it was expected for Kishibe to have them too. This is why, it was no surprise when his powers manifested at the young age of 2. Since his parents wanted only the best for their child, they enrolled him into the best blazing teaching school and he was constantly visited by tutors to keep his grades up so that he may one day enroll to Inazuma Gakuen. He got the best scores on the entrance exam, receiving the chance to speak the first-year representative speech at the entrance ceremony. He entered the school and got eventually paired up with Senguuji Yamato and Shindou Takuto. Things weren’t going well for them because of Shindou inability to control his powers, but Kishibe didn’t mind it. When he met Ran for the first time at the rooftop of Inazuma Gakuen, he knew he had to protect her. But he had no idea that she would pull him into the world of revenge and endless battles, where you had to put your life at stake.          

☄️ Trivia

☄️ As Kishibe comes from the longline blazing user family his powers are exceptional. He was always one of the strongest second-year utsushu of Inazuma Gakuen and by the end of the series he becomes the second strongest utsushu among the second years national wide, losing only to Evan Saryuu.

☄️ When Kishibe first met Kirino Ran he had never thought he would eventually fall in love with her. She was his first crush and love so he wasn’t sure how to express his feelings. He also realized very early that Ran had very strong feelings towards Shindou and Kirino, so he decided to back off and conceal his feelings not to trouble her needlessly. Even though Manabe and Minamisawa advise him to go offence, Kishibe settles for helping her from the sidelines and just stay near her and support her. This is why he’s completely hopeless when she takes the opportunity confront him on this matter.

☄️ Due to his involvement in art, Kishibe has been attending to many art competitions. Sometimes his works have been displayed next to Morimura Konoha’s. Kishibe has always considered the small artist as genius and was surprised when he found out that she’s one of the beakers.  

☄️ Kishibe is on the Kendo club on his school and one of their aces. He has had matches against Tsurugi Kyousuke in various tournaments and the two consider each other rivals. They are said to be on par in power. Still, Kishibe’s ultimate dream is to win against the reigning champion of Jr. High School competition and U-18 category, the prodigy, Raimon High School First Year Kageyama Hikaru, who is also known as “Shadow Prince.”

☄️ Kishibe is the captain and utsushu of Team Shore. The other members are Shindou Takuto and Senguuji Yamato.

☄️ Due to being an only child, Kishibe received much from his parents and he always tried to repay them this kindness. He picked up kendo to make his father happy and practiced hard in other to make his parents proud of him. He studied diligently to keep his grades high and got the highest score from the entrance exam. While Kishibe feels he needs to repay all the kindness his parents have given him by doing his best, he also wishes he could do things he likes, freely. Forgetting all the competition and not minding his grades, just be himself. This is why he was happy to enroll to Inazuma Gakuen, which is a boarding school. There he wouldn’t be under the always-watching eyes of his parents. By going along with Ran, Kishibe abandoned everything his parents once took pride in him – his club, his art, his grades and his perfect attendance.

☄️ Kishibe has the habit of calling everyone by nicknames. Depending on their relationship he uses the first syllable of either the first name or surname name and adds “chan” to the end, whether talking about boy or a girl. The few exceptions are the clearly older characters and Gouenji Yuuka. The first he calls by surname and adding “san” while Yuuka he refers as “Yuu-san.”

Character Profile: Shindou Takuto - Scattered Beaker

A student in class 2-F of Inazuma Gakuen. He’s an oenshu and the member of Team Shore. Shindou enrolled to Inazuma Gakuen due to admiration towards the legendary Team Protect, that won Kassen three times in a row. Despite his grades being best of his year, Shindou can't completely control his blazing powers, which lead him to be labelled as Pariah - an outcast.

Shindou is the oldest son of a rich and musically influential family. His father is a distinguished conductor while his mother is a famous violinist. Due his parental music influence, Shindou has been playing the piano since his younger years. In elementary school first year, he met Endou Mamoru, the legendary captain of Team Protect that was the first and currently only team to ever win Kassen thrice in a row. Shindou was almost driven over by a car, but Endou saved him, and Shindou became to admire the man ever since. Coincidentally Shindou’s powers manifested the moment he saw Team Protect winning the national tournament for the third time. Neither of his parents had any blazing powers, their families hadn’t had a blazing child for generations, so it was once in a million chance for Shindou to have any powers. But manifesting your blazing powers, didn’t mean you were good at using them. Shindou powers were unstable and he had absolute no control over them. This made his parents very troubled and disappointed. They wished he would rather be born without any powers than have one that went berserk all the time.

Shindou wanted to enroll to the same school as his idol. In Jr. High, he made a promise with his parents. If he was to be the best student of his class for the final year, his parents would allow him to apply to Inazuma Gakuen. He studied hard to keep his grades high and even trained hard with piano, but sadly neglected most of his blazing training. Sometimes, when Shindou needed to cool off, he would play soccer with his younger brother. Shindou eventually made it to Inazuma Gakuen and managed to keep his first place in grades in there. But since he was unable to control his powers, he was soon labelled as Pariah, an outcast. On his first year he was dormmates with Kirino Ranmaru, who was known as the strongest shubishu of the whole school, even though he was only a first year. The two of them became good friends, which lead to Shindou meeting Kirino’s twinsister Ran on his second year. He was forced to become her Divide and suddenly became a part of a rebellion. Little did he known that his meeting with Ran would also give him the chance to meet his idol again.

☄️ Trivia

☄️ Like Kirino, Shindou is also BI. His first love was Ran, who ironically was also Kirino’s first love and held romantical feelings towards Shindou. If Shindou or Ran would’ve been more open with their feelings, they could’ve ended up together. However, Shindou soon realized that he liked Ran because she reminded him of Kirino, and it was actually Kirino whom he loved. Shindou was the first one to confess his feelings and Kirino took his sweet time to reply to him. Shindou and Ran remained as good friends.

☄️ Despite being a crybaby and an outcast, Shindou is actually the most liked character of the story. Both Okatsu and Ran confessed their feelings to him and he rejected them both. There’s also a rumor floating around that Yamana Akane has had feelings toward him. If one includes Kirino, there’s the total of four people who have liked Shindou.

☄️ Shindou is the ouenshu of Team Shore, that due his involvement is often mocked as Team Eyesore. The other members are the captain Kisbe Taiga and Senguuji Yamato.

☄️ Shindou is one of the few characters, who have met someone of the original cast. In this he holds much resemble to Yukimura Huyouga, who admires the Fubuki twins of Team Snowstorm. Shindou never thought that because of his involvement in the rebellion he would meet his idol again.

☄️ At the start of the story Shindou is unable to control his powers. Thanks to his contract with Ran he slowly gets the hang of it. As he grows as a person, he also starts to gain more confidence in himself and his abilities, which makes him less nervous during engagements. Thanks to Ran he manages to complete his technique and create a complete new one.

☄️ Shindou is the only main characters who’s involved in the musical world (if you don’t include the dancers) and his parents had high expectations of him to become a renowned pianist. When his powers manifested and he started showing more interested in blazing, this dream was slowly passed to his younger brother who was passionate about piano. Shindou still plays piano every once in a while, but he doesn’t see it as his career choice.

☄️ At the start of the story he was the weakest ouenshu of all characters. He grows to the point Kurosaki Makoto of Team Mist starts seeing him as a rival.

☄️ Of all the characters in the story, Shindou has the biggest character growth.

Character Profile: Kirino Ranmaru - Scattered Beaker 

A student in class 2-A of Inazuma Gakuen. He's a shubishu and the captain of Team Mist. He's an excellent student both academically and in blazing training. Some call him prodigy, a child who is born only once every century.

Kirino died from hemophilia before his first birthday. His uncle was a researcher and scientist and his parents bought the young body to him. The young boy became part of the test subjects and 5 CDD’s were planted into his body. A miracle happened and the boy woke up. The surgery was the first successful one in ten years. While Kirino’s uncle was amazed of the sudden reviving, he also felt hatred towards Kirino, as his own daughter hadn’t survived the implantation. To keep the boy near him, Kirino’s uncle went as far as to murder his brother and sister-in-law and adopted the boy, raising him as his own son. While Kirino was officially adopted by his uncle, he got the worst treatment of all children within Botany. Seeing how his powers manifested at the early age of 1,5 years and both of his parents were from strong blazing families, much was expected from the young boy. He became one of the main test subjects, going daily through hard physical training, getting tested on academical record and having his mental state pushed to it limits. When he was out of training grounds or test facilities where people always flocked around him, Kirino was kept at the bottom floors of the facility in a dark room. It was when he was four years old that a young female, later known as his twin sister, Kirino Ran, was introduced to him. They performed infiltrate after what the two spend their time mostly together. As Kirino grew up, he eventually learned the truth, and ran away from the facility. It was against his expectations that Ran would go after him, which complicated the matter of his return. He was eventually known as the leader of Rebels.

☄️ Trivia

☄️ Kirino is one of the few characters who’s a BI. Even since finding out that Ran is not his sister his feelings became more that of a brotherly love. During the rebellion, he became closer with Shindou and against all of his expectations somehow developed feelings towards him. This he realized only after making up with Ran.

☄️ Kirino is the first and only male Beaker, known till present. It was eventually found out that females and non-blazing users have bigger chances to overcome the operation and their bodies are more likely to accept CCD’s

☄️ Much like his cousin, Kirino has five CCD’s and is a Beaker and a Divide.

☄️ Kirino is the captain of Team Mist. The other members are Kurosaki Makoto and Mitsuyoshi Yozakura.

☄️ Kirino is an exceptional student both academically and in blazing training, being one of the top 5 student in his year and currently being the strongest shubishu of his year and of Inazuma Gakuen. Some call him a prodigy, a wonderchild who is born only once a century.

☄️ While he is considered as one of the leading figures of the Rebels, the one who’s pulling strings behind everyone’s back is far more scarier and unexpected figure.
