Like a lot of people I also started with "save the world fantasy".

Somewhere during 19 years of studying fiction writing I took a detour and now the hero is trying to kill the hellish world to give it's inhabitants rest in death if escape is not possible. He's hasn't succeeded so far, and I doubt he will.

Also, that's just one world. I have other fantasy worlds which are neither in need of destroying nor saving.
