(( I loved deltarune chapter 2, a lot of time and love was put in it, and I have nothing but love and respect for Toby….But with that being said, good lord I absolutely HATED Asgore’s characterization in chapter 2! Especially since he showed no fucking signs of acting like that in the first chapter or in undertale outside of just missing Toriel. It felt so out of character as fuck it just made me uncomfortable! Asgore is probably one of the most complex and tragic characters in undertale but good lord chapter 2 did him so dirty. It just made him a creepy ex joke and I haaate it! Hopefully his character will get expanded upon better in chapter 3, but until then you know what they say? Canon isn’t canon if you don’t vibe with it :^) ))

Alphys was in her lab, working on designing a new power source for Mettaton's EX form, when the perimeter alert went off. Someone had entered the building, despite the front door being locked.

A quick check of the cameras revealed that the door was intact. Vents were clear... It was as if someone had walked right through the wall!

Perhaps it was the fact she still had Mettaton fresh in her mind, but she recalled that before she built his body, Mettaton had been a ghost monster. Perhaps this was one of his relatives inquiring about him?

The fact that she could give this particular relative- if that's indeed what it was- a happier answer than the other monsters who were trying to reach her calmed her down a bit. Dusting herself off, she exited the room into the main hallway. "H-hello...?" she called, secretly hoping it was just a malfunction.

It is so nice outside. Perfect for laying face down in the echo flower patches and listening in on long forgotten conversations that are not theirs to know. It is perhaps one of the very few times they feel so connected to others, as a fly on the wall or a silent voyeur in others conversations. That sounds a lot worse than they mean. They just enjoy getting to feel like they are apart of people’s lives, even with their cripplingly and paralyzing anxieties.

As they lie in the patches of flowers, they can’t help but feel at peace. Even the sound of footsteps don’t disturb them.

Wait? Footsteps?

They try to move their body, but pure laziness and unfamiliarity to their form prevent them from actually lifting it. So instead, they manage to put up a hand, one thumb pointed up to be exact.
