okay so im imagining that Blessed Verse Slayer (Killer) is the smuggest son of a gun you'd ever meet

like, he props himself up as the best of the best and the worst part is that he's probably right

he knows it.

thats why Blessed Marshal (Cross) hates his guts in a rival way. They constantly try to one-up each other. Marshal thinks Slayer is too cocky and Slayer wants to stick it to the guy that thinks duty is everything.

they cant stop fighting but by the end of the day they both share a drink and plan for their next sparring match.

They aren't attached to each other by any means, they are totally fine with parting ways if they wanted, but the thrill of competition keeps their interactions fresh.

Midnight (Nightmare) is one of the only people besides Canary (Dust) who can keep their spars from getting too violent. how can you protect your ward if you're too busy lopping each other's limbs off?
