Portraiture can be enigmatic. You don't how the subject will turn out in the final picture, even less if that someone is a stranger. What I love about this portrait is the intimacy that I got to have with her. We barely knew each other but in a few hours we shared so much. Her generosity was endless and despite the circumstances and the capricious weather, she offered me that instant that I was looking for as a photographer. Additionally, this portrait is unique as a cyanotype print. This technique allows a wide array of experimentations and reflects very well how much a relationship/ human connection can fickle, from the unknown to the deepest and ephemeral intimacy.
