My current obsession is Quinn from potionomics, I finished the game the other day and I’m just in love with their character. There’s a pitiful lack of Potionomics fanfiction and not enough Quinn to satisfy my need for more. For now, Quinn headcanons (mostly QuinnxSylvia relationship)! Perhaps I’ll write some Quinn X Sylvia or Quinn-centric fanfiction :)

•As their relationship with Sylvia progresses, Quinn makes some genuine attempts at finding suitable pet names to call their girlfriend.

•they choose potion-related nicknames because they’re very proud of her profession as a potion-maker.

• “Fire-tonic, cuz you’re hot”

• When Quinn is feeling low-energy, they can always be revived by a kiss from their lover

• They absolutely steal Sylvia’s casual clothes all the time. Sylvia loves it, she thinks it’s the cutest thing and is extra touchy when Quinn is wearing her clothes.

• Sylvia is the only person allowed to call Quinn nicknames/pet names. Everyone else gets cursed or yelled at

• Quinny, Q, Babe, Handsome, Pretty Voy (short for clairvoyant)

• Whenever Quinn comes to visit Sylvia at the shop, they always spend a couple minutes talking to and petting Vendi, she’s a good girl!

• Boxer stays outside with Vendi when Quinn finally goes inside, he likes to snuggle up to her while he waits for his owner.

• Quinn hates when people call boxer “Vendi’s little boyfriend” (because people are weird and they do that to animals all the time) they immediately act very disgusted and enraged.

• “Excuse YOU, they are SIBLINGS”

• Quinn absolutely claims the mimics as them and Sylvia’s children, and eventually Sylvia warms up to calling them her kids too

• Refers to Sylvia as “mom” when talking to Boxer, gets really flustered when Oswald or Roxanne happen to hear. Oswald usually just kinda smirks to himself and then pokes fun at Sylvia once Quinn leaves.

•Roxanne is not so kind. She will tease Quinn and Sylvia until Sylvia practically begs her to go back to the basement. “already have kids together and you’re not even married, how scandalous!”

• Quinn sings Sylvia to sleep when she has a rough night, it calms her down every time

More Quinn from potionomics headcanons!

I’m having a lot of fun with this, if anyone has any specific requests don’t be afraid to ask!!

• They celebrate Boxer’s adoption day every year, feeding him his favorite snacks, taking him to his favorite places, and closing up shop for the day so they can’t spend the entire day doting on their good boy

• They have genuine respect for Roxanne due to her long record of successful con-artistry, they’d possibly consider her a friend, at the very least an acquaintance.

• Out of all of the heroes (that we know), Xid would definitely be Quinn’s favorite. Both of them are pretty laid back and have mimic companions!Quinn appreciates people who love and care for their mimics and they’d definitely bond with her over that.

• Quinn would warm up to Xid quicker if she also brought Fret and Roadie with her to Quinn’s shop. Boxer is very sociable and loves to be in the company of other mimics (and some people as well)

• When it comes to the other heroes, Mint is too energetic and excitable, Baptiste is too much of a dramatic rich boy, and Corsac probably doesn’t sell to Quinn all that much so they wouldn’t have much of an opinion of him.

• You cannot convince me that this feral creature has not bitten someone before. They probably gave someone rabies too

• They have mild claustrophobia from being locked up during their whole childhood, they don’t like feeling trapped

• They don’t go to any of Sylvia’s potion competitions because of their claustrophobia, the tightly packed seating would be too much for them. Instead they watch her through their crystal ball, cheering her on with the proudest smile on their face

• Very touch-starved. As their relationship with Sylvia grows, they get more and more comfortable with openly showing her how much they enjoy physical affection

• They start with playful shoves and pokes that develop into shoulder squeezes, bumping shoulders, and back pats. Eventually it evolves into hand squeezes, interlocking pinkies, hand holding, hugs, and finally kisses and cuddling.

Been getting some good interactions with my Quinn and Quinn X Sylvia headcanons so I thought I’d continue with those and add some AU headcanons too!

•Flower shop/tattoo shop au: Quinn would probably be a piercer, I’d imagine they’d like jabbing people with needles and being paid for it. (Xid gets their piercings done by quinn! I could also see her as a part time tattoo artist, maybe she does Quinn’s tats for them!) Sylvia would of course be the florist, inheriting her uncle’s flower shop after he gets in a bad accident. (His recovery is the equivalent of him being cured)

• modern/college AU: Sylvia is a chemistry major struggling with her workload and overstressed! Quinn doesn’t go to college but lives near campus and sells refurbished junk, probably also sells drugs to college students on the side

• Roommate AU: Sylvia has to move for her new job and ends up with an aloof, weird, and kinda sketchy roommate in Quinn. Boxer is Quinn’s dog! He’s a big contribution in the two falling for each other because he gets attached to Sylvia very quickly.

• Doctor/patient AU: Doctor/nurse Sylvia falls for an unusual patient (Quinn) who is a medical mystery. Quinn has consumed things that the human body should not be able to process or handle and survived. They are rushed in for extreme abdominal pain and assume their appendix ruptured but no, they just ate something they shouldn’t have and end up needing their stomach pumped.

Soulmate AU: your soulmate’s name is written on your body in their handwriting when you turn 16. Sylvia goes a long time thinking she doesn’t have a soulmate because it didn’t appear on her 16th birthday like most do. It’s not until she’s around 20 that the name “Quinn” shows up in sloppy handwriting, because Quinn chose their name :)

Sylvia X Quinn fanfic ideas!

• Didn’t know they were dating: everyone knows that Quinn and Sylvia are dating… except for Quinn and Sylvia. Quinn doesn’t have any experience in relationships and thinks this is just how best friends act and their feelings for her are entirely platonic. Sylvia does know how relationships work but is hardcore in denial because she’s been very obvious to Quinn about her crush on them and they never reciprocated. “Quinn doesn’t like me like that! That’s ridiculous” They do. It’s not.

• Fake dating/Fake marriage (with real feelings): OOOO THIS ONE GETS ME EVERY TIME. Quinn is unfortunately still in contact with their awful, controlling, abusive parents, who are trying desperately to use Quinn. Quinn runs to their good friend Sylvia to beg her to pretend to be their wife because they accidentally told their parents that they were already married to someone so that their parents didn’t try to force Quinn to get married to some random suitor they had picked out for them. And get this… their parents are coming to Rafta to meet this supposed spouse and make sure that they are good enough for Quinn (and Quinn literally can’t think of anyone better than Sylvia).

• Tangled AU (literally how hasn’t this been made yet): Quinn is trapped in a tower and used by their parents for their power of Clairvoyance. Their secret companion is a little shoe-box mimic named boxer, who they adore. Sylvia is framed as a thief (by boss fin, the actual thief) and climbs Quinn’s tower in an attempt to escape law enforcement. Quinn is distrustful of the not-thief at first but their need for freedom outweighs their distrust when Sylvia offers to bust them out of the castle and take them with her on her journey to clear her name.

• matchmaker AU: Quinn is forced to use their clairvoyance as a business for matchmaking, finding people’s true loves for the right price. One day, while they’re alone and their parents aren’t breathing down their neck, they play around with their powers, trying to push the limits of their abilities, and they see Sylvia. A small obsession forms once it clicks that Sylvia is their perfect match, and Quinn knows they have to do everything in their ability to meet her. Cue Quinn leaving their parents and beginning a journey of self-discovery (and literal traveling) that ends with them meeting Sylvia in Rafta.

• Werewolf/Vampire: Sylvia is definitely the excitable puppy-dog type of werewolf with the meanest puppy eyes. Quinn is a mischievous, perpetually tired Vampire that uses their charm ability to swindle/prank people.
