Blimp City
The year is 2037
The people of Iceland prepared for the volcanic eruptions that would destroy the entire country by building a gigantic blimp. The size of the blimp was of biblical proportions. The icelandic people created a city on the blimp with skyscrapers and streets and schools and freeways. Everything that any major city in the world had. They banned together to do this and when their predictions came true and Iceland was no more this blimp would be their new country. It was named and became known as Iceair.
Iceair would travel around the world and was a neutral nation, a modern day Switzerland. It was welcomed by all nations to visit. Iceair would land for a few weeks at a time. Whenever it landed, Iceair welcomed the people of the nation they were a guest of to visit the city. People would be able to drive their cars onto the blimp or could take the escaladers if you were traveling by foot. If anyone wanted to become a citizen of Iceair it was a simple application. Also if you just wanted a ride you could stay on the blimp and get dropped off at the next nation on Iceairs' route around the world. You were required to have the proper legal paperwork. If you were from one nation you needed to have your passport and any visas needed. Iceair was just a complemtary ride even though it traveled slowly. It was just like a cruise, except it was a blimp instead of a boat.
After a decade or so more floating cities began appearing around the world. They could attach and float together and had festivals. Iceair was always the Blimp City the entire world knew of.
