This'll be fun~ :)))
Peachtober Day 16: Trunk
Blind drawings of African elephants because I love them and they have magnificent trunks.
I actually think the kōwhai one turned out really well! It has a charm.
[drape and draw workshop]
in this workshop we worked with blind drawing (in the first two photos) of the mannequins. my drawings look nothing like the mannequins but that’s the beauty of it as you can interprete it in your own way.
in the first one it looks like cliffs in my opinion xd comment on what you see in my drawings!
in the last photo we drew with Indian ink and a bamboo stick of the mannequins in front of us. mine has no structure and looks like a bunch of scribbles but i love it :)) i might do the drawing in ink again for my project.
Tuesday, 16th of October: drape and draw workshop
This workshop was not as I expected. We began with blind drawing the garments with various changes. Using our non dominant hand, drawing from the top, bottom and so on.
It was difficult qs the results did not feel satisfying. But it was a training exercise for our eyes.
The second part was using bamboo and Indian ink to draw the garments. But we had to use our non dominat hand.
My first drawing was truly my best.
I will be using this technique further in my project as I enjoyed the freedom and results gained.
