To Keith, Lance was the colour he could never see. Being around him was like seeing all the wonders of the universe just from the familiar tones of his voice. When Keith was around Lance he felt like he could see all that ever did and ever will matter to him.

To Lance, Keith was the symphony he could never hear. Being around him was like he could listen to the angels sing. When Lance was around Keith he felt like he could hear ever word that made up the secrets of the universe

blind keith au where he was blinded at a young age like 6 idk and he's like blind until adulthood and there's a surgery he does and it mostly give him his vision back but he needs glasses and then like lance and them realize after a while that keith can't read so they take him to target and buy a ton of baby books and lance takes advantage of his inability to read and writes little lovey notes on keiths arms and keith hates it bc he can't read it but he takes pictures to read once he learns but lances handwriting fucking sucks so he still can't read it

and ofc i'm making it klance they're dating the whole time no angst just fluff and love and acceptance and miracles and happy tears and playful klance good klance

Blind! Keith AU (Klance)

Back at it again with the fluff and angst, the angst and fluff, the flangst! lol, I’ll get to it now

-it’s a Modern AU too I guess Keith wasn’t always blind but after getting into an accident on his motorbike, he got a bad head injury that messed up his vision till he couldn’t see anymore. this happened after he had met and become friends with the whole gang, (the garrison trio, Shiro, Allura and Coran, and maybe also Shay?? And Matt?) so when it happened they all felt awful about it. Keith told them it was fine, but inside he was actually really upset about it. He kept on blaming himself and started internalizing his feelings about it. that is until Lance one day checks up on Keith at his house (it’s a dingy apartment, if it wasn’t in a building, Lance would say it was like Keith lived in a shack) and finds Keith breaking down. Lance of course tries his best to comfort Keith, and after that whole scene, Lance swears to himself and to Keith that he won’t ever let Keith go through anything alone ever again. He really lives up to that. Lance becomes like Keith’s own personal service dog at this point, which makes Keith feel bad, but Lance assures him that it’s okay. once again, it really isn’t all that okay. That’s cause he becomes too dependent on Lance. the others have to have them both be separated for a while so that if anything might ever happen to Lance, Keith won't be, literally, left in the dark. but it's alright cause after a while Keith finally gets the hang of it all and while he is upset that he can't see anymore, he's happy that he's at least alive. and he's happy cause he and Lance are finally able to hang out again. But it's also nerve racking, considering they're both pining dumbos. one day while it's just them hanging out, Keith asks Lance if he can maybe "see his face" just so he doesn't forget. Lance is confused but agrees, only to have his face full of Keith hands a second after. it goes on for a while, Keith just feeling out Lance's features and sort of recording it into his brain. when he's finished he just sorta, keeps his hands on Lance's cheeks. Lance hesitantly puts his own hands over Keith's. there's a long pause when finally Keith says "please... just kiss me..." and Lance does. also Keith gets a seeing eye dog and it's a black lab who loves pats from Keith and anyone Keith deems okay.

Lance never thought that he'd see the very stars of the universe in the shattered irises of someone who would never see them. Or him. Even so, that will not stop Lance from making Keith see how truly beautiful he is to him.

Please allow this humble fairy to tell you the love story between a dorky pool lifeguard who has a slight obsession with his coffee maker and a headstrong but enigmatic blind violinist who visits the community pool with his older brother, Shiro. 

The eyes might see what is on the outside, but it is the heart that loves what is on the inside.
