Ahoy there.

Aye lassie (//squints// or is it laddie? Anyhoo...), I've co-workers (family too, but I'm sure you're not as interested in my wifey and not-so-wee bairns). The company I work for has 3 great boats we rotate through the season, and each can carry up to 200 passengers. I'm but the guide and storyteller; the young lads and lassies (and Ol' Petey) are the ones that keep us sailing.

As for discovering me truth... //scratches at his chin// If anyone's got their suspicions they've not said as such to my face, neither've me and the missus had any ill dealings with folk making accusations. I reckon if anyone's had any inklings it'd be Ol' Petey. Known him since we was nippers and worked the boat for years too. But as I said, the old man's kept shtum.

Ye have t'understand, m'wee friend, I'm not the first 'Monster of the Loch', and with grand-babbies on the way, I doubt I'll be the last. After Aunty Aileen's little debacle back in the day, we like stirring up a bit o' mischief every so often. Gotta keep the tourists coming back, aye?

From my private planning Discord, a snippet list of characters from me and my partner's story of fae, circle of life deities, and everything in between: "Embroidered Tercet" [My side being more of a spinoff buuut, meaty nonetheless!]

Dionaea (Or Ona, for short) [She/Her]: The eldest both of all the siblings and of the two girls born. Despite the carnivorous plant she was named after, she lives the most "normally" out of the family, interacting mainly with the upper class out of interest in learning more about politics and the economy- in terms of war especially. She carries an air of grace and independence after having been the one to raise her siblings once her parents had passed. Not that she holds resentment either- she loves her siblings more than anything (at the moment), but the way of the Death nation's idea of freedom carried into her own ideals.

Dove [She/Her]: Second oldest, born with the condition to physically be unable to feel fear nor anger. Heavily neutral, after having been sidelined and looked past compared to the interests of her other siblings. She lives closer to the heart of the Rebirth nation with her assistant, Pigeon, once her condition halted her grieving process for her parents completely.

Saturday [He/Him]: The second youngest, he takes a deep interest in death and dying, and the various practices and psychology that accompany it. The umbrella he totes everywhere was a gift from their father before both parents had left for the war- its heavy shade helps his sensitive skin from harsh outdoor light. The umbrella itself is a deep purplish black, with each section adorned with a stylized evil eye.

Coprinus [They/He]: The youngest of the siblings, currently in a state of comatose due to his abnormalities. It was uncertain how they ended up with likenesses similar to an inky cap mushroom, but their body is currently perfectly sustained in a glass terrarium-like box within Saturday's home. Very rarely does he awaken from this comatose state, only on the rainiest autumn-like days. Even when he's awake, he stares wistfully off out the windows of the house, as if he were still in a dreamlike state. Saturday occasionally finds these waking days a nuisance, since Copri tends to drip some sort of inky black substance all over the floors from his hair and eyes.

In order of age currently: Ona - Late 20s, 30 even Dove - Mid 20s Saturday - Mid 20s, just a year or 2 younger than Dove Copri - Early 20s, 21 even

Hello hello, and happy STS! :D For a WIP of your choice: If your main characters were sucked into our world, The Devil Is a Part-Timer-style (i.e., dropped into our world without the resources/status they had in theirs, transformed into basically human with no powers, and the only thing they've got are the clothes on their back and their memories), how well would they fare? What would they do to survive, who's failing at adapting and how, and most importantly, who is working at McDonald's?

Ooh, this is actually a really fun question!! Thanks for sending it my way! I'm going to answer for Call of Shadows.

Dorian would honestly be relieved to not have his powers or his status, as both of those things have really only brought him harm in the past. He loves learning new things, so though the adjustment would be a big one, after the initial shock, I think he'd like exploring and learning about our world. I've said before that maybe he would be a professor or something in our world, so I can totally see him going to college. (Which would probably also make him the person working at McDonald's, not gonna lie.)

Ashlin would probably be a little worse off than Dorian. She's a talented thief, but her ways aren't going to work in the age of modern home security and credit cards. Also, they would not be a fan of cities, and how they are now, because in her world, even the biggest city has less than 100,000-ish people. They would probably pickpocket people for a while, since that's what they grew up doing, and it's what she knows best. But that would only work for so long.

Theo would absolutely hate our world. They're autistic, and everything about our world is incredibly overstimulating, even if you've grown up here, let alone being transported here from a house in the woods on the outskirts of a tiny, tiny village. They would definitely be very, very overwhelmed, and it would take them a very long time to feel even somewhat adjusted. Also, for them, their magic is a very important part of them, and they would feel kind of lost without it, at least at first. They would definitely want to live as far out in the middle of nowhere as possible.

🐾 - what would your character do if they were turned into a werewolf or some other monster? would they fight it, embrace it? lose themself?

i think carter and javier would have fun as werewolves, provided they didn't have to eat people. carter would probably have trouble with the eating meat aspect bc of trauma reasons, but they would probably adjust to it eventually.

💀 - is your character afraid of dying? if so, how far would they go to cheat death?

at the beginning carter would've probably been relieved at having a quick, clean death. just to be free from everything. but i think now carter would go down fighting with everything they have, because now they have a life to live for.

javier wouldn't even consider anything like necromancy or anything like that, because it's strictly against his beliefs. he wouldn't want to die, but if it was his time he'd probably accept it.

i think peter always thought he'd die some horrible death when alastair got tired of him. so the thought of a peaceful death wouldn't seem that bad. he'd be more upset at the thought of leaving carter and javier than anything.
