As much as I really wish they hadn't made Allie pregnant with Kurt's kid, it did give the writers the opportunity to schedule in a couple of Allie appearances every season, and I love that.
I do wish we'd gotten to see Allie interact with Rich again after season one, though. I always got the feeling she'd end up punching him right in the solar plexus. If not his balls. 😁
This is a tangent, and not related to 2x02, but can you imagine how Kurt's 'Rich Dotcom is on my team now' conversation with Allie would have gone? Not to mention the 'Rich is kind of a part of our family now, and he's going to be there when you bring our daughter over for X holiday' conversation.
I'm now imagining Rich gifting toddler Bethany a teeny tuxedo with a parachute built into it, just to troll her mother. 🤣

I'm thinking about writing that dark argument fic I mentioned last week, and if I do, it'll be a 2x02 tag.
Patterson's character development in season two is so great (and cute, and heartbreaking, and traumatic). Even at this early stage (2x02) she's so much more assertive than she was. She's lost David and Mayfair (and kind of lost Jane, too), and she's already out of fucks to give, she's got no work/life balance anymore, and Nas has better toys to play with, and she doesn't like that. And then along comes Borden, and that romance kind of halts her downward spiral for a while, but then obviously THAT doesn't go the way it should have, and twelve more agents die, Reade is injured, she's tortured and bugged and horribly traumatised...
Look up 'torture the cinnamon roll' in the dictionary, and it's just a picture of Patterson's face. :(
The fact that Kurt Weller goes from 'I can't stand to be in the same room as her' to 'I do' within the space of a year... That's character growth!
