WEEK 1 [Day 6]
During the time of the Spanish Inquisition, Pope Innocent VIII condemned cats as evil and thousands of cats were burned. Unfortunately, the widespread killing of cats led to an explosion of the rat population, which exacerbated the effects of the Black Death.

My voice is so 😬 but hers is 😍
Cat's Eye (Object): A cat's eye is a charm created by taking a real cat eye, wrapping it in wool with salt, lard and sand, and placing it in a wooden box or drawer for 3 x 9 x 3 (81) years. On the last day of the full 81 years, the eye will have formed into a small glass-like orb and can be used as a mystic device. (Believed by some to be a way to travel, or skirt around heaven and hell, after death).
The Cat's eye (place): A dimension in which all cats can congregate and travel through (as possessors of cat's eyes). They (or their spirits) use it to travel between landmarks and worlds. It resembles their eye shine. In fact, it IS their eye shine. Blinks lack the ability to come and go and will be trapped on one side or the other.
Charm: Another name for a Cat's Eye (object).
Charmed: Used to refer to the act of creating one.
Charmer: The person who took and charmed the eye. Charmers commonly perish before the eye fully forms, either from old age or the efforts of the Winkling that precedes it.
Possessor: A person who finds and possesses a charmed cat's eye. They are not necessarily the same person that charmed it (and often aren't), and are not subject to the same harassment as the Charmer. More often than not, a Cat's Eye will not make itself known until a desirable Possessor comes along.
Wink: A one eye'd (usually deceased) cat whose missing eye has been taken and successfully charmed. Except in the case of familiars or cats who have voluntarily surrendered their eye, a Wink will ALWAYS haunt their eye's Charmer, and are thought to harass their Charmer even in afterlife, if they did not successfully lead them to death while alive.
Winked: Killed, hurt or lead astray by a Wink's antics.
Blink: A cat who has had both eyes taken and charmed, (alternatively, a cat whose eyes have been destroyed as punishment by other cats). Blinks specialize in blinding or crippling their victims.
Blinked: Killed, hurt, or blinded by a Blink's antics.
Winkling(?): A Wink or Blink before the eye(s) has fully charmed (before the 81 years are up). Winkle and Winkett are also on the table.
Yellow Eye: A type of wink whose eye is yellow. Yellow eyes are sometimes less dangerous, but not always.
Red Eye: A type of wink whose eye is more reddish in color. Red eyes, like Yellow Eyes, don't live by definition. They are believed to be more dangerous (more deceptive) than Yellow eyes, but both types like to mix things up.
Peter Wink: A rare case of a Wink who seems to enjoy being a Wink. Most of them are indifferent. Peter may be hundreds of years old and has already disposed of his eye's Charmer. He has a curious relationship with people and has manipulated his physical appearance to resemble modern cats, with a long face, large eyes and lanky body. He is (probably) the wink associated with Jacky's Cat's Eye.
Petty Wink: A Red Eye who is almost always in Peter's company.
Bali Blink: Also almost always in Peter's company.
