What are we thinking on prompts.. will polls happen again or something else?

so I'm in the process currently of making a Google form to ask people for prompt ideas and to also have a more thorough interest check :] so people will be able to write out whatever prompts they're interested in seeing this go around!!

we may stick with the usual 3 prompts per day format or maybe we'll get a lil quirky and switch it up. keep things fresh, ya know :3 all depends on what the people want

When I see a piece of fanart I really like, to the point that I know it will leave a lasting impression on me, I always try my best to tell the artist/writer/creator not just that I like their work, but why I like it as well. As an artist and a writer myself, I know that the comments that stick the most with me are the ones that mention specifics, so I always try to do so myself when I love a piece of art! I think that if we want our fandom to be a community, we shouldn’t take the hard work artists of all kinds put into their crafts.

(Also on the note, if anyone ever sees me like their art/fic/etc and not reblog please know it’s because i use my likes to save posts I want to come back to when I have the brainpower to articulate just how excited I am about them!)

It honestly makes me so happy whenever you mention that you’ve noticed my tags <3 my whole goal here is to recognise the artists whose works I enjoy, so knowing that it’s working always makes me feel extra happy when I have the time to leave specific compliments in your work!!

Your art style is just such a delight to me. It has a whimsical feel to it that always brings a smile to my face, and I honestly wish I knew more about art history so that I could compare it analyse your works with that in mind.

Your characters are all so distinctive, your understanding of what shapes to use and exaggerate is absolutely phenomenal, and also yours is probably the only skinny mumbo design I really truly enjoy and wish to see more of (sorry skinny mumbo enjoyers I love you but to me he will always be a bear)

Do you have any plans on when Redscapeweek will take place this year? Or if it takes place at all? Will it take place around the same time as last year?

Hi!! Okay so I do fully plan on running a redscape week again this year as long as there's interest. I just may not participate as much unless my mcyt interest picks back up by that time

The original plan was to have it around the same time, but honestly, I might make a poll or something to see if people would want it to be earlier! The only reason it was so late in the year last year is bc I didn't have the idea until late september, so I'm open to having it take place earlier if that's what most people want!!

I also already have a few ideas for things I wanna do differently since I have more time to plan, so Hopefully it turns out even better this year than it was last year :D
