Well that really did seem to be something this guy loved, if you went by how fast and passionately he started talking about the sport. Viper had just heard and seen some people talk about it and had gotten curious enough to ask about it.

Guess she seemed to ask the right person.

“Ohh I don’t know. I mostly asked because everyone seems to love it. From what I understood, the sport has something to do with being in water, or under. And I uhh...Can’t really swim.”

Can and can’t. She can. Fear just make her freeze up while doing so..

It’s merely that Besaid has such incredible terrain to parkour, and Yuffie can’t help but take advantage of it-- from landslide entrance into village to the machina which surrounds it along with the rest of the geography. Bruised palms and calloused fingers grip onto such surfaces, propel her slim figure into heights and across distances alike. 

But the Wutaian isn’t looking to be observed in such a manner, hadn’t expected to be seen, and causes her grasp to falter; she nearly slips, and vocalizes such when she sees the man below, ex-blitzball captain he is, standing in awe. 

It is of an entertaining notion, however-- isn’t Wakka an athletic man, in his own right? Is it that unusual to see someone attempt to keep themselves in peak condition?

「 I’m no secret-- far from it! Just mostly girl, slight babe. Can I take it you like that part the best? 」

                      the last thing he’s expecting is some sort of                       sports ball to come barreling into the side of                         his head. the impact knocks his glasses off                        in the process, nearly breaking them.

魔術 ------ A faint smirk played upon her lips as she heard the all too familiar heavy footfalls of her longest standing friend approach her from behind. He wasn’t trying to sneak up on her, he had long since stopped trying, but it was something of a little joke that they shared between them.

Waiting until the very last moment, and without turning to face him, the black mage spoke to him with a light, and almost jovial tone. ❝Wakka, when will you learn that you can’t catch me off guard?❞ It was now that she turned to look at him, arms folded and head cocked to one side. ❝--You make enough noise to wake the Sent.❞

“I get more beat up by tripping over my own feat then I ever get in any battle, so you could say I am quite used to that.”

It was said with humor, barely bothered over that she was tripping herself in front of strangers, instead just thanking him for helping her up.

Nicer then many others she had met.

“I an in fact new around here yes. Hm that gives me the excuse of that the new scenery distracted me, right?”
