𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗔𝗠 𝗚𝗢𝗟𝗘𝗠, 𝗕𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗭𝗖𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗞
Blitzcrank started out as Viktor's imaginary friend. Because he had no friends, the prodigy decided to make a companion. Up until the age of seven, Viktor would talk to himself and speak to Blitzcrank.
After an event of severe bullying and ostracization from other kids in the undercity, the young inventor decided to make his imaginary friend a reality. Under his father's careful gaze, Viktor taught himself robotics and built Blitzcrank from scraps. When the automaton first came online, their intelligence was rudimentary. For a whole month, they didn't do much... until, unbeknownst to Viktor, Janna breathed some of her benevolence into them, giving them a personality and their own agency.
The Steam Golem was built with the intention to help the Lanes. They were to defend those in the undercity, clean up when possible, and do all other tasks that they could to help. They can help with health problems (think like Baymax), repairs, and they enjoy dancing.
Blitzcrank was the project that got Viktor into the Academy, as they were completed when Viktor was 15 years old. After an attempt to steal Blitzcrank and his other work, Viktor submitted an application at the behest of his father, and eventually joined the Academy, and upon the successful completion of his first year, was inducted into House Heimerdinger and became a tutor. Blitzcrank followed Viktor to Piltover, and often walked with him no matter what. Blitz sometimes carries Viktor on their shoulder, so he doesn't have to walk far.
When Viktor and Jayce would become lab partners, Blitz would have their own space in the lab.
Blitz and Viktor have a very close relationship. They are best friends, and Viktor has made sure to stress to Blitz that if they want to not protect the undercity, they're allowed to do whatever they want. Because of Janna's benevolence and gift of air/breath, they always want to protect others and help them.
Blitz spends a lot of time with Viktor, because they enjoy their time with him. They have come to care for many people in Viktor's life, and have a propensity for nicknames.

Their language is very simplistic, almost like a child's. Despite their basic communication, Blitz is very, very smart, and is capable of processing a lot of situations so the best outcome can occur. Viktor and Blitz can sometimes get into deep philosophical conversations which no one can pull them out of. They will be in their own world until they get bored of the topic.
