"BLKKKOUT" - Wasiu
This record is one of my favorites on the album. It touches on how white people in power have been leading an ongoing effort to keep Blacks down and Out. "You should be happy we took off the noose from yo neck and now u got a jewelry store/ around that sound black but keep that real money for the suits in pure....white/ who ever got the money got the power but if the power too dark we need a coup d'état...right?" this shows the mentality of the people in power. It shows how even though things are seemingly different, they still have their exclusive club of wealthy white people at the top who control everyone else. Although BLKKKOUT stands for how they want the blacks out, it's also a call for revolution. I'm riling up black people to unite, black out and reclaim the power. "They say whites in, keep them blacks out/ if u my skin, nigga back out/ but we fighting till we pass out nigga black out/ ain't invited? Ima crash house/ it's a white thing? But I'm black proud/ ain't the right skin? Lemme black out ima black out". The cover art for BLKKKOUT accurately represents the essence of the song with a white KKK figure in the middle (or on the inside) and black background.
