Lamu Oil and Gas, a joint venture between Edgo Energy and QFB has received an extension in Kenya’s block L14 following an expiration of the earlier granted First Additional Exploration period on December 5, 2016, OilNews Kenya has learnt.

Lamu Oil and Gas to acquire infill 2D seismic in Kenya’s Block L14 in Q3 2016

Lamu Oil and Gas a joint venture by Edgo Energy and QFB has agreed a 2D seismic program with Kenya’s Ministry of Energy and Petroleum in in the Lamu basin Block L14.

The infill 1000 km 2D seismic program planned to start in the third quarter of 2016 is designed to image the high graded eastern sub-basin to define prospects and select a drill target.

Lamu Oil and Gas completes 2D seismic survey of Kenya’s Block L14

Lamu Oil and Gas has carried out a 2D seismic surbey of block L14 in the Lamu basin situated in Tana River and Delta districts.

The survey was done by BGP Kenya and covered 731 line kilometers with the next phase that involves interpretation of data to identify locations for seismic work or drilling with this phase expected to be through by May 2014.
