Because tonight is so important in terms of the JetLee modern timeline, I'd like to explain and talk about their little timeline. This has been fleshed out with blockiings & written through old roleplay blogs, skype and text conversations, and headcanons.
Jet and Ty Lee first meet during his sophomore year & her first year of college in their dorm's common room as their roommates bumped uglies early on in the school's semester.
In this spare time they quickly became friends, and after a harmless joke on Jet's end, the two decided to engage in sexual activity.
For the most part, it remained casual; make-out & take-outs (and lots of sex), it was an activity for the both of them to blow off energy.
A month into their engagement, Ty Lee left the down for a gymnastics competition, and bored out of him mind, Jet decided to attend,
Another month later on the day after the anniversary of his parent's death, Jet explains to Ty Lee his past to get it off his chest.
After this more vulnerable bond, the two acknowledge their feelings for one another; however not vocally. The ensuing week a cluster of missed school, fucks, and suppressed emotions.
The weight of her suppressed emotions carries heavy on her shoulders and turns her sprightly aura dark, and to bring herself back, she asks him if they could end their engagement.
The following week is filled with awkward hellos and soft smiles; however in the end, they resume their engagement as they missed the implied love in each other's hold.
The first week of winter break, Ty Lee returns from another competition; the two both have the intention on sharing their feelings but after an comment, Jet sets off, unleashing harsh lies meant to shove her away before either has the chance to open up.
After the fight, the two official broke off all bonds—- not talking for a year and moving on with their relationship.
The following October, Jet runs into Ty Lee sitting in one of the tucked away courtyards on campus (one the two often frequented when they were out together in public) and as the conversation progresses Jet confesses sincere apologies. It isn't much, but it serves as a springboard into pulling the two into forgiveness.
In the following time the two take the entry to their friendship slow, moving from casual hangouts to dinners and then to late movies nights. After a little over a month, the two cuddle on her bed and eventually share their first kiss.
The rest of the hangout remain the same, the more comfortable they get, the more they share, they stronger and more meaningful words are, and the more inclined they are to be wholeheartedly open with one another; learning from their past mistakes of closed of emotions. In this time, they get more intimate and loving that their relationship had ever been before with kisses, kind words, flirting, and genuine affection.
On Christmas Eve the two hang out in her dorm and eventually open up more honestly about their past experiences and family, and later through a veil of honesty and adoration, the two finally reconnect through sexual desires.
The following morning, they wake in each other's arms and more openly discuss their relationship, where it left off, where it's heading and decide to officially become boyfriend and girlfriend. To commemorate the event, they visit the orphanage in which Jet grew up in and later spend their Christmas together and with Jet's closest friends.
