BLOCKING: THE LOVE OF SPIDERS

First time using blocking wire, and I probably should have researched it first. I was too excited to take the time to look it up, and I don’t often get enough quiet time uninterrupted to do this and let it dry.

Really looking forward to wearing this around. Would knit again. :)

FISHBOWL BLOCKING

Thinking on the fly… glad my shawl can fit in the fishbowl to soak before blocking.

I bought blocking wires. These always seemed like such an extravagance but I wanted to block the Printemps Shawl severely. Scored a 55% discount at Joann Fabrics. What a great set! Lots of nice, firm wires. I used them for  the blue shawl and like the results. I think it will get even better with practice.

ugh nooo I have to wait a whole week until my blocking wires get to the store. THat means I can't block my shawls for a week! hdisapha
