The fact that Hwang Yang-jung (sashimi ahjussi♡) wouldn't have taken the job had he been married with kids is still haunting me. He obviously valued family more than anything, and he had none. His solitary lifestyle led him to his final demise. The regret in his voice and the way he automatically took the money out of his wallet as soon as he realised his buddy had a pregnant wife waiting at home shattered my heart.
He didn't get much screen time but he left such a strong impact on me for his constant emphasis on the importance of the only real life treasures... The man was a criminal, for he led an empty life. It makes me think what a thin line there is, between a family man who'd live best he can for his family, and a solitary man who would die as if he'd never even lived, as if his life meant nothing.
