sure! if somebody ask whose art it is just send them my way please :) (no credit required until somebody asks)

do you take art requests? are you still gonna do my art request?

i do take requests, however i only do amrev/frev themed ones. unfortunately i've made the decision to delete most requests in my inbox due to getting increasingly stressed out by their sheer number. so sorry haha </3 new requests are welcome of course but it could take me some time to get to them due to now being *theatrical retch* employed full-time

why do you post about horses so much/does everything you draw somehow include horses?

unfortunately i am afflicted by a curse (autism) put on me by a witch (genetics) that only allows me to think about the many elbowed creatures and little else (i was the feared horse girl as a kid and the thing that changed as i got older was that now i'm not a girl anymore. horse stayed the same however.)

Reminder that we don’t want thin ppl or minors to apply. Thin ppl for what should be obvious reasons and minors because of the abuse we get.

I encourage anyone who wants to, and meets those two criteria, to apply. Remember to put your blog contact info and have messaging or asks on so I can tell you if you were accepted. I can’t hire someone I can’t contact.

Just a note: This blog used to have two mods, but it doesn’t anymore. There are a lot of posts from the former mod that I didn’t agree with at the time (and said as much in my own posts) and that I don’t agree with now, but I thought tagging them “Joseph’s posts” would be enough of indicator that they were his posts and his words. I originally decided against deleting them because I was concerned people would make accusations of me hiding things. I’ve changed the tag so that it now reads “former mod’s posts” instead of “Joseph’s posts.” (I have, however, deleted some posts that are clearly redundant; I’ll keep the post with the most complete thread, but not five posts of different add-ons to the same OP.)

Joseph has officially not been involved with this blog since May 11, 2017, which was the culmination of a lot of issues (personality, communication, ideology, and otherwise), when we decided the best thing was for him to leave the blog completely as at that point I had been maintaining the blog by myself for longer than he had been. (He previously decided to go on hiatus on March 8, 2016.)

Every post before April 24, 2015 is his, as I was not invited to co-mod the blog until then.

I have no issue being criticized for my own opinion and words (I may not agree with the criticism, but that’s a different issue), but don’t criticize me for someone else’s opinion and words especially when they’re tagged as such.

Sorry I disappeared so rapidly, but I decided that the only way for me to deal with all the essays and thesis is to clench my teeth, block all distractions and write until I’m done. And yes, the thought that if I don’t finish on time, D&D will finish them for me was very motivating. Unfortunately I’m not done yet, it’s possible I’ll be back only after defending my thesis in early July. May the force be with y’all.

New admin

Hai! I'm Liz (she/her), previously a moderator on this blog. A few days ago the last administrator asked me if I could take over due to them being too busy to take care of this blog properly. I'm new to much of this but hopefully I'll learn and improve as I go on. I would greatly appreciate help getting content flowing through submissions & asks. I'm honored and grateful to be in this position and hopefully give any and all of you the positivity and help this blog gave me long ago.

Starting after the second seder, I think I’m going to go back to posting examples of Jewish Excellence because I want to do something positive and not out of anger. Going to take the rest of the day off so I don’t see any hate asks after I addressed “the topic” again.

I don’t think people understand how much of an emotional drain it is to run an account devoted to the oppression, hatred, attacks, and deaths of your people/group. I look for antisemitism on social media (Twitter, Facebook, and Tumblr). I look for news articles about antisemitism. I have google alerts for keywords associated with antisemitism and get three emails a day full of links to articles all about how people hate Jews and want them dead (last night it totaled 32 results that were each unrelated to each other and that is a low number). People reply to me on multiple social media services to tell me how much they hate Jews and Jewish women and wish that Hitler was more successful. I do all of that myself so that I can have a large number of stories and events and articles to choose from that I think need to be shared. 

So, I have all that information to go through, which is emotionally draining on most days. All of this is done knowingly and intentionally though with the understanding of how much I can handle.

But then I get anons and messages on Tumblr asking if I’ve heard about another antisemite or antisemitic event and what I think about how much people hate me and my people, blame us for everything, and want us all to be dead. And it just feels like abuse at that point (whether or not it’s intended is another issue). I know I’m not alone in this, and I know other blogs, people, social media accounts dedicated to hatred of minorities (racial, gender, sexual, or other) deal with the same exact thing. It is exhausting.

I'm asking you all to just think before you send an oppression based-blog a question about someone or something that exhibits the epitome of hatred for who they are. Not just to me, but for any oppression-based blog. Please think about how that may add to the barrage of hate they are already intentionally going through.

We all have our saturation points because we’re all human beings with other things going on in our lives. Just be kind and cognizant of how words can be received regardless of how it was intended.
