It's the end of january, which means that brand new brown bear cubs are starting to be born! They will weigh about 1 pound (0.45 kilograms), and will spend the first few months of their life nursing in the den while their mother hibernates.
to celebrate, i'll be queueing up some old posts of mine featuring bear cubs -- though i do want to note that it won't just be Spring Cubs, because there have not been many spring cubs in the two years I've been running this blog. I am avoiding the older cubs (looking at you, 909jr) so i can focus on the Little Babies, though.
the queue should start tonight or tomorrow morning! it'll post a couple of times a day, and i'm hoping it will last a couple of weeks ☺️
Oh wow, three weeks ago I made this gimmick blog with the idea of focusing on the joy of being queer. Our community is hurting right now, in so many ways, and it is easy to get lost in the news, and in the doomscrolling. So I wanted to start this blog as a breath of fresh air, a light in the gloom. A place where we can see that there is also joy, always joy!
And now, three weeks later, there is 500 of you who are following this joy! wow! So I guess I wanted to do a short introduction of sorts.
I would love for this to be a community project, so please, if you have some joy you would love to share, send an ask! If you see something in the wild (on the dash), tag us! Help us spread queer joy, and love, and resilience.
There's not really a queue yet, perhaps in the future. For now, I reblog what I find, and on days when I can, go out of my way to search for it.
