For Parents Who May Find My Blog.
Hi. You're probably horrified right now, as am I.
Please know that my intention is never to interact with a minor in any way shape or form. I block all ageless and underage accounts, however people on the internet lie, and I simply do not have the time to check every account that has ever liked a post of mine. All of my content is marked NSFW and minors are given a warning not to interact, usually multiple times.
If you have checked your child's social media and ended up here, please know that I feel your pain and frustration. It is the same stomach churning illness I feel when a minor interacts with one of my writings and I go to block them, except a million times worse because they're yours and you love them.
1) Don't panic in front of them.
I know, I know. You may want to scream, cry, fly off the handle. Don't do this in front of them. Find a safe space to feel what you need to. Chances are they are already embarrassed/ashamed. A meltdown can exacerbate this issue and make further communication harder.
2) Find a therapist. Immediately.
I am not a professional, and what you need is a professional. Check with your employer and see if they offer emergency counseling sessions.
3) Check your child's phone thoroughly.
Chances are, if you've found me, there is other content they may be consuming. Check their DMs. Apps like discord, roblox (yes, the game) and Kik are known for predators. If you find your child is talking to any adult I highly recommend visiting the National Center For Missing and Exploited Children website for more information on how to handle it.
