FELLOW MARJORINE STOTCH AND OTHER OBSCURE SOUTH PARK CHARACTER ENJOYERS, I HAVE A QUESTION FOR YOU
how would you guys feel about a blog dedicated to these more obscure characters who havent been seen in the actual show for a while? specifically, the blog would be themed around marjorine stotch, one of butter’s alter egos.
the blog, lets call it smth like “southpark-politicallycorrect” or sppc for short, would be made in an effort to get at least 1 character back into the hearts and minds of both fans and the crew. ideally, we could see them have speaking lines again. more realistically, they would appear in the background as a reference. and as realistically as possible, they would be more public knowledge to south park fans. sppc would reblog fanart, fanfiction, memes, and other content surrounding these characters. sppc could also have days dedicated to certain content, like a “confessions thursday” or a “submissions sunday” just really getting back in touch with the good ol days of the fandom (yes im saying that even tho ive only been in this fandom for a few months now)
sppc would also have posts supporting other blogs/accounts dedicated to south park, i have two blogs in mind already. the post would look something like “blogs we like; southpark-fanart-archive (tumblr), south park historical society (twitter), etc etc. as well as supporting other big projects about south park.
i think this would actually work, because, while i havent watched season 25 yet, i have heard that older characters make cameos in it, and it seems south park is getting back to its roots. not only that, but the sheer fact that creek is canon because someone working on tfbw was looking up tweek refrences and saw just so much fucking creek fanart and showed it to matt and trey, as well as kyman being referenced a few times, means that the crew knows well about the fandom and does listen to its fans, as @natcaptor puts it, “If we all try really really hard we can make Marjie Stotch just as popular as Creek was and force Matt and Trey to canonize her. Just a thought.“
sppc would tag its posts accordingly, say smth like, #character #au #year #op #post type #rb date and of course, would be centered around more older and obscure characters (especially marj) so content about the main 4 boys as well as other popular supporting cast members like wendy, craig, and tweek would not be allowed.
i really want this to happen, but i know i couldnt run a blog of this sheer size, thats why im making this post, so that other people who have more knowledge about obscure sp characters could help. a blog of this kind would need at least 3-4 mods, so if you have any interest about a blog like this, please dm me. i might even make a mod application forum if this post gets enough attention. i really wanna see this through.
