A reminder to me of what this blog is for....
This blog has been set up for the Critical and Cultural Studies - Essay Module Level 6, part of my BA Hons degree in photography with the IDI. As such, there are guidelines and reasons for its creation and use. In order that I remember what these are, and use the blog correctly, I have copied the paragraphs from the Learning Path below, which detail why the blog has been set up and how it should be used. This is for my future reference.
Your blog must contain detailed posts about what you are doing in this module, together with other posts that reflect on sources that are important in developing your practice. The reflective blog will help you to become a reflective practitioner and to be aware of the ways you engage with materials and ideas. Through your blog posts you should try to answer the following questions:
How do you generate and evaluate new ideas?
How are you influenced by other's works?
What are your inspirational sources (such as books, exhibitions, conferences, photographers and images)?
How do you evaluate them?
What are your methods of work?
Remember that this is an academic blog:
Your posts should be written in a high standard of formal English
Make sure that you check your spelling and grammar carefully
All third party material (texts, images, films and/or music.) in your blog should be cited and referenced using the Harvard format
You are expected to contribute to your blog and publish posts regularly throughout this module. There will be blog activities in the learning path to remind you to update your blog and give you the opportunity to get tutor feedback on your work.
You are expected to add at least one post a week on your blog.
