Sketch of an old man...
Sketch of an old man…
Today there was no power supply and my phone was kinda low on battery, so with nothing much to do, I channelised my energy into drawing.
Came up with this sketch of an old man from a small village working with making basket to earn a dignified living.
What do you all think about this sketch???
Love and Gratitude,

How Lockdown Changed The Dynamics of Our Relationship
Today, I want to share with you all my #ShareTheLoad story and How Lockdown changed the Dynamics of our relationship and make it a more beautiful and fulfilling bonding.
CHAPTER 1: THE SO-CALLED USUAL RELATIONSHIP
Before the Coronavirus pandemic and the Great Indian Lockdown, me and my wife's relationship was like the relationship of most of the couples in India. I was the Sole Bread Earner of the house and She was the Housewife.
Though she always wanted to start her own Beauty and Fashion Youtube Channel but due to many responsibilities in her hand such as taking care of all the Household Chores, Kids and my parents, she just couldn’t start it and due to my busy schedule, I also couldn’t help her in any way.
CHAPTER 2: ANNOUNCEMENT OF LOCKDOWN
Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a 21-day nation-wide lock down in March, 2020 urging citizens to stay at home to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.
This gave us a great opportunity to redefine our relationship. From working 8-10 hours a day in the office, first time I will be staying at home for such a long period of time. My company provided me all the equipment required to work from home comfortably.
And the change in our relationship was about to begin........
CHAPTER 3: CHANGE BEGINS WITH SMALL STEPS
As I have started working from home, I noticed something which I have never realized in our 8 years of relationship. Even though I was working for 8-10 hours a day but my wife was more busy than me in her work. She had more responsibilities in her hand. She was always working. She will wake up at 6 AM and I will see her working and doing something or other till 10-11 PM.
And as everybody was staying at home due to the lockdown, the “work” burden for her increased manifold. The situation became more untenable without the usual household help.
Then I had decided it is my time to help her in household chores. First thing I did is that I started helping her in cutting vegetables for cooking. Initially she resisted my help but agreed later.
And this started a change in my behavior.....
CHAPTER 4: I STARTED ENJOYING
From helping her cutting vegetables for cooking, now I have started helping her in all the household chores and I was actually enjoying this.
We even divided some of the Household work, such as I decided to do all the laundry as it will give some more breathing space to my wife.
And this gave me immense satisfaction to help her in all the Household chores and specially I love doing Laundry now.
Now I have really understood the meaning of a happy and fulfilling relationship where if you #ShareTheLoad and #ShareTheLaundry , it would definitely multiply love. #ShareChoresMultiplyLove
Even Ariel India celebrates this and invites everyone to join their #ShareTheLoad movement.
CHAPTER 5: HAPPY NEW BEGINNING
It is a new start for our relationship. Still I am working from home and helping my wife in all her Household Chores.
And I have decided that even when this lockdown phase is over and everything will be back to normal, I will continue to help my wife in every possible way because relationship is all about helping each other in everything you do.
And some great things have come out of this that after seeing me helping my wife, my father has also started helping my mother more in her personal things. Even my son is taking extra care of her sister. And my wife has finally started working on her Youtube Channel too.
‘I will #ShareTheLoad and help in household chores in association with Ariel India and BlogAdda‘
