So you forgot some notes! Fear and old habits and people pressure and your own interior playlist can do that — to all of us. But! When the piece started to fall apart? You fell forward, Hope. You didn’t fret about the music behind you — you focused on the next bar. We are all going to botch it somedays. We all sometimes get the notes wrong. But the song only goes wrong when we keep thinking back to the wrong notes. When a piece starts to fall apart — fall forward. Fall forward into the next bar. Moving forward is what makes music.

another hamster themed blog. A must for hamster lovers.
Haste makes waste. The hurry makes us hurt. Whatever the pace, time will keep it and there’s no outrunning it, only speeding it up and pounding the feet harder; the minutes pound faster too. Race for more and you’ll snag on time and leak empty. Hurry always empties a soul.
- Ann Voskamp, One Thousand Gifts
I read her blog again after a long time. I interrupt my own busy ways because it has already been unbearable. I've started reading One Thousand Gifts and discovered a lot of the wisdom I am trying to digest right now so that I'll know where to move and where to go. The call for a different season presses itself on me again. For a time I thought I am finding contentment in my place but I realized, unless I am appreciated for what I can really do, I will not find contentment anywhere.
"I’m a feminist. Sometimes it feels like I live breathe, eat, and sleep feminism. Sometimes I don’t. Sometimes I’m just feminist enough. A while ago, I made the mistake of calling another like-minded individual a feminist. I don’t even remember what they did to merit the honor, but I sure do remember their reaction. They actually got offended at the fact that I called them a feminist. Wait. Stop. What?" -Crunk Feminist Collective
I miss reading about art.
Currently, everybody seems too occupied. I'm blog hoppin' as instructed, yet not finding any posts of note or posts that jump out and insist 'follow!' :-/
