Make mine a Dirty Martini - Genderbent | Closed
New York City. The city of kings and queen. Where the lines of reality were blurred and temptation came in all shapes and forms. City lights blazing and the streets filled with fresh faces that had come to the city that could offer them their wildest dreams. That was what had brought Nicholas to the city. He was an aspiring actor. Shot down numerous time, of course. Which he considered ridiculous. He could act. It was something that he did every day of his life. He had a secret. A dirty, furry, little secret. One that followed him no matter where he went. Oh, he knew all about acting. It was practically his life. Pretending that he was normal when once a month he went off his rocker and ripped through the night and made a meal of anyone that crossed his path. He couldn't act? Pfttt. It was how he ended up here at Amnesia.
It was a busy night. The club was packed nearly to the brim with young people that were ready and willing to party. Neon lights beat down on a wood floor that is lined with sweat glossed bodies that dance to the rhythm of the beat. As usual, he was behind the bar. Entertaining the guests with a show that had them lined up against the black marble of the bar in awe. People in this city were so easy to fool. Especially when they were dazzled by a little slide of the hand. A job like this had been easy to come by. With a natural ability of honed reflexes, it had been perfect for him. With each flick of the wrist and bottle flying, it spurred ooohs and ahhhs from the onlookers. Excited gasps flying from their lips as the glass that would soon contain their poisons tumbled through the air. Out of all the people there, he was the only straight one, which was ironic.
Even as he flashed a sparkling smile to several of the people watching, he could see a bartender to his right slipping some pills into the hand of a young blonde. Ecstasy. No doubt about it. Everyone in here either distributed for cash on the side or did it themselves. Nicholas was the only one that did neither. Of course he had confronted them about it, but they had practically laughed in his face. He could have easily shoved their through a crack in the pavement, but that would have resolved nothing. Besides, he wasn't exactly innocent himself. He imagined that they'd have a thing or two to say if they knew his dirty little secret. For a city that buzzed with chatter, that was always blaring with every sound imaginable, it was sure full of many unspoken secrets.
"Hansel, how do you feel about taking a trip to the store with me? I was thinking of redecorating the cabin. I've gotten bored with how ridiculously dull the decor has gotten. I need a bit of color on the walls or some new furniture. If I have to stare at that giant moose head for one more minute, I'm going to scream my head off and run for it."
Monsters in the night (Closed)
The night was still young when the red haired beauty had stepped out of the doors that for the past week had kept her cut off from the rest of the world. She wasn't sure what had enticed her to leave the comfort of her home, but it had been very persuasive. Now as she stood on the street, bathed in the dim light of the lights that lined it, she knew that she had made the right choice. The fresh air sweeping along the flesh of her cheeks gave her a feeling of freedom that the warm, stuffy, air of her cabin could never provide. Tilting her head to the sky, she closed her eyes and left the sensation engulf. The lids of her eyes gave a light flutter before they snapped open, causing the world around her to come rushing back. It was not a bitter reunion though. She gladly welcomed back its existence.
❝-There's so much the night has to offer.❞
She wasn't sure what surprises the night had in store for her, but she hoped that whatever it brought would have an impact on her life. Whether it be big or small, she craved a change in her life. When all hope was lost, and you felt that the world no longer had anything to offer you, the night had a way of handing you what you wanted. Though it wasn't always necessarily what you expected, it would forever change the course of your life. It had been the night that had tempted her when she was a young child. It had seduced her, drawn her out to touch it, and when she had, her destiny had shifted, and she was reborn. Now once more, she stood before it, this time it was her reaching out to it and begging for it to take her once more again.
❝-Take me away.❞
She implored. Almost expecting something to magically appear before her eyes, but instead, the whisper drifted off into the endless night, going unheard. Although her request had been ignored for the time being, something urged her to keep moving forward, telling her that the night would offer her a reward should she venture onward. With a glimmer in her eye and nothing more than the belief that something would come her way, she chanced the night. Over the years, she had learned that if you didn't gamble, that life would become dull in the blink of an eye. Had she wondered what life would be like if she hadn't took a shot in the dark as a child? Yes. Did she ever regret it? Sometimes. The fact of the matter was, she couldn't change what had happened to her. Here and now, who was, what she had experienced, what she had accomplished, had made her who she was. and she was perfectly content with the person she had become.

"Wine, wine, Xan needs more wine." Xan sang softly to herself, as she danced through the halls of the auditorium, looking for more booze. She hated business meetings. God, they were a bore. All they consisted of were old people talking about money, along with a whole lot of kissing her ass. Luckily, at these meetings, alcohol was permitted. But not a lot.
So, once the chance was given, Xan escaped and began to wander, "Where the hell do they keep the alcohol in this place...?" She grumbled. Coming up empty handed, she decided to leave and head across the street to the gas station. She made her way outside, and over to the stoplight, "God, my head..." She groaned. As she waited for the pedestrian light to turn on, she leaned against what she thought was a light pole.
She looked up, and noticed that the pole had a couple of eyes. She immediately gasped, jumped away, and fell on her ass, "I'm so sorry, I-"
