Blood!Verse
Lexa survives being shot by Titus and she’s never been so angry in her entire life, with the exception of when Costia was murdered. This anger was different though, and she took Titus’s actions personal. She kills him herself only three days after having the bullet removed. As far as she was concerned, it was three days too late. Clarke of course is worried about her because she knows that Lexa’s people value strength and she’s anything but strong right now. She’s also still trying to deal with all her reeling emotions when it comes to the commander, because let’s be honest here, they still have a lot to hash out and Lexa’s near death pretty much shoved her mortality in Clarke’s face and Clarke is terrified she’s going to lose her.
Meanwhile in Akrkadia, Pike is still doing a bunch of dumb shit with Bellamy but it’s cool, because two weeks after being shot Lexa shows up to enforce the blockade. Octavia and Lexa come up with a way to get the Sky people that don’t want war out so Lexa can deal with the rest. She kills every last sky person that rejects the brand of the coalition with the the exception of Bellamy because he surrenders and she takes him prisoner. He’s the only one of Pikes supporters that lives. Also, Lincoln lives. He doesn’t die. He’s still being awesome.
After the massacre of the evil members of the skaikru, Lexa stays to help the remaining Arkers clean up and rebuild. It takes a while, but the remaining members of skaikru began to see Lexa for who she really is as she works alongside them. Clarke of course is just super amazed at how Lexa has managed to turn a very bad situation into something positive and Lexa is still super whipped albeit a little grumpy because being shot is painful and so much physical activity while recovering probably not a good idea, and Abby ends up yelling at her about it because someone needs to.
Unfortunately while Lexa is focused on Arkadia, Ontari goes to Polis and slaughters all the Nightbloods. This has a profound effect on Lexa and she’s fucking devastated. Like, she’s wrecked and Clarke has no idea what to do as she watches Lexa fall to her knees in the courtyard amongst their bodies. They find Adens head sitting on the throne and Lexa loses it. She destroys the throne room and immediately declares war on the ice nation.
Remember how I said Lincoln lives and he’s being awesome? Well Lexa makes him the Flamekeeper because he’s good and soft and she trusts him. He searches the clans for more Nightbloods while Lexa is gone at war. Clarke stays in Polis of course and she's a complete wreck. She's still coming to terms with the mountain and she's completely terrified Lexa is going to die. Lincoln somehow ends up with an orphaned Nightblood baby. (I'm gonna go with Ontari probably killed it's parents because that's the type of person she is.) Lincoln doesn't have time to care for a baby, because he has all the other Nightbloods so he gives her to Clarke. Clarke basically has no idea what to do with a fucking baby and it stresses her the fuck out. It's too innocent for her and she can't stand it because she's just got too much guilt and blood on her hands. She has numerous breakdowns and Lincoln helps her reconcile her feelings of not being good enough, so she can properly care for the child.
She names the baby Rayne.
