Okay okay so another tattooed Murdock idea, kinda, so say like the reader is admiring his tattoos one day and gets the name of his artist. And then when they go to get a tattoo they do it of his name, in his handwriting, a permanent brand on their skin the way he writes it. But they do it specifically when they know he’s going to be out of town for a while. Then when he gets back with adrenaline pumping through his veins and sees it, my god would he go feral, I think.
The reason I initially have reader getting his initials, in his script, tattooed on their left lower ribcage is so he can inscribe his own initials on their right lower ribcage... with his blade.
The permanence of ink, of a scar.
Of his claim.
However... his name on their pelvis or inner thigh- that's a thought. He'd still want to mirror it, of course- add his own claim to reader's skin.
But damn if the initial sight wouldn't drive him crazy. Reader marking themselves, denoting themselves as his for him.
Feral, stinky nasty man would be lightheaded with pride and accomplishment.
