Blood Beat is a French coproduction shot in the US midwest about a Japanese ghost and that’s the most sense the movie ever makes. I have a high tolerance for antiplot, stream of consciousness, vibey movies, and separately I have a high tolerance for ineptitude in execution of vision, and I won’t say I know or understand how much of this film is in one of those categories or something else altogether….

It’s very pretty in places.
